DHL Van Overturns in Springfield Collision, Two Transported
SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A two-vehicle crash involving a DHL delivery van and a passenger vehicle caused delays on Highway 431 at the Highway 41/William Woodard Road intersection in Springfield, Tuesday afternoon. The two vehicles collided in a T-bone crash, flipping the DHL van onto its side.
Emergency crews from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, Robertson County EMS, the Emergency Management Agency, and North Robertson Fire and Rescue all responded to the scene, the first call coming in to 911 around 2:00 p.m..
The crash occurred during peak traffic hours, briefly affecting traffic flow through the area. According to Robertson County EMS Director Brent Dyer, one person inside the DHL van had to be extricated by rescue crews. Both that individual and one occupant from the passenger vehicle were transported by separate ambulances to area hospitals. According to officials, both patients were in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
