Former Robertson County Probation Officer Indicted for Sexual Misconduct

ROBERTSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A former Robertson County community corrections officer has been indicted following an investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).

54-year-old Brian Hawkins, who worked for Robertson/Montgomery Community Corrections, was charged with two counts of Sexual Battery by an Authority Figure and one count of Official Misconduct. Hawkins was booked into the Robertson County Jail on a $25,000 bond.

Community corrections officers work with people on probation, parole, or alternative sentencing programs, helping them reintegrate into the community and monitoring compliance with court-ordered conditions. They are not jail employees and do not work inside the jail itself.

The investigation began on December 3 at the request of 19th Judicial District Attorney General Robert Nash. TBI agents allege that Hawkins had inappropriate contact with a probationer during his time in the community corrections role.

The charges and allegations are accusations of criminal conduct. Hawkins is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt through due process.
