Electric Heater Blamed For Orlinda House Fire
ORLINDA, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – An Orlinda, Tennessee home was declared a total loss following a devastating fire that broke out Monday afternoon. The home is located in the 6000 block of Fulton Road near Lamont Rd, the first call coming into 911 at 10:58 am. MAP
According to Chief Patrick Darrow with the Orlinda Fire Department, multiple agencies responded to the scene, including North Robertson Fire and Rescue, Orlanda, the Cross Plains Fire Department, and White House Community.
Darrow confirmed that no one was home at the time the fire started; however, a dog inside did not survive. He also said investigators have determined the cause of the fire to be an electric heater in the living room. Darrow added that there was no insurance on the home. The American Red Cross is assisting the family.
