Mildred K. Harris
March 26, 1941 – February 2, 2026

Mildred K. Harris, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend to many, passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on March 26, 1941, Mildred was a remarkable woman known for her steadfast determination and deep compassion for family and friends. Those who knew her appreciated her stubborn yet kind-hearted nature, which left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.

A dedicated mother, Mildred instilled values of hard work and love in her sons, Mike Hibdon and Timothy Hibdon (Connie). Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Amanda Suffridge (Janet) and Amber Marie Hibdon, as well as her great-grandchildren, Aaron Suffridge and Wyatt Suffridge. Mildred was incredibly proud of her family, with her grandchildren holding a special place in her heart. She often fondly referred to herself as “Grandma,” a title she wore with pride.

She is also survived by her sister, Janeice Shrum.

Mildred’s passions were as varied as they were vibrant. She had a profound love for animals and children, which mirrored her nurturing spirit. Her green thumb shone in her exquisite flower gardens, where she found joy in cultivating beauty. Cooking was another of her great loves, and she often prepared delightful meals for her family, creating memories around the dining table. Additionally, she enjoyed unwinding in front of the television, particularly reveling in Westerns.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Harris, whose absence she felt deeply in her everyday life, as well as her grandchild, Brandi Lundy, and nine beloved siblings. These losses shaped her character and strengthened her resolve to create a loving environment for her family.

In honoring the memory of Mildred K. Harris, loved ones are invited to a visitation on February 6, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Goodlettsville, TN. A Celebration of Life will take place the following day, February 7, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM and concluding at 11:00 AM.

Mildred’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and an unwavering spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Betty Creel
August 6, 1946 — February 7, 2026
Goodlettsville, TN

Betty Creel, age 79, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, after an extended illness. Known for her boundless kindness and unwavering devotion to family, Betty touched countless lives with her warmth and generosity.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruth Green, her brothers John and Jim Green, and her sister Dixie Creel. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Caldwell Creel; her daughter, Windy Mocko (Kenney); her son, Scott Creel (Shannah); her daughter, Susie Barnes (James); and her 9 grandchildren, Brandon Creel (Latisha), Jamie Barnes, Lindsey Barnes, Michael Barnes, Kimber Brannon (Collin), Sydney Creel (Gabe), Seth Daniels, Rachel Carroll (Dalton), Lincoln Mocko; and 3 great-grandchildren, Chaslyn Marney, Caylee Creel, and Walker Carroll.

Betty is also survived by her brother Lee Green (Ann).

Beyond her role as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Betty found joy in creating beauty around her. A master gardener, talented artist, and avid quilter, she completed over 100 quilts—many of which she lovingly donated to charities and community organizations. Her legacy of love, creativity, and service will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her.

Visitation will be held on February 12th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville, TN. A graveside service and burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens in Springfield TN.

Brad Gannon
December 20, 1952 ~ February 7, 2026
73 Years Old

Bradford Gaylord “Brad” Gannon, 73, of Goodlettsville, passed from this life on Saturday February 7, 2026, at The Waters of Springfield. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday February 10th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Austin Dean, Robbie Mantlo, Michael Mantlo, Skyler Mantlo, Bobby Gannon, and William Marsh serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Brad was born December 20, 1952, in Lebanon, to the late Henry and Martha Jean Scott Gannon. He was a retired production worker with Ford Glass and was of the Church of Christ faith. The two things he enjoyed most in life was his job and watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Joe, David, and Danny Gannon.

Brad is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Jason and Peggy Gannon of Springfield, by his daughters and son-in-law: Angel Denney of Springfield, Beverly and William Marsh of Springfield, by his grandchildren: Joe Wix, Chelsea (Austin) Dean, Lola Denney, MaLanie Gannon, and Ella Marsh, by his great grandchildren: Ryder and River, by his sister and brother-in-law: Kimberly and Robbie Mantlo of Cedar Hill, by his sisters-in-law: Cindy and Sharon Gannon, and by his nieces and nephews.

Kyle Robert Smothers
March 1, 1990 – February 1, 2026

Kyle Robert SmothersKyle Robert Smothers, age 35, of White House, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am Saturday, February 7th, in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield, with Bro. David Evans officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday in the Camden City Cemetery in Camden, TN, with Tanner Gilmore, Brandon Isabell, Matthew Proctor, Quinton Riddle, Zack Riddle, Jonathan Spears, Kaleb Stratton, Leland Yost, and Brad Woody serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm Friday at the funeral home.

He was born on March 1, 1990, in Louisville, Kentucky, just across the river from New Albany, Indiana. Kyle moved to Springfield when he was just over a year old, a place he would proudly call home for the rest of his life.

Kyle Robert was a 2008 graduate of Springfield High School. He spent many years working in the parts department for various car dealerships, where he was known for his knowledge, dedication, and strong work ethic. At the time of his passing, he was employed by Tate Ornamental in White House. He learned new woodworking skills there, picking up a new hobby, making and cutting charcuterie boards for family and friends.

Kyle Robert had a deep love for music, especially old-school country. Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash were among his favorites, and it wasn’t uncommon to receive a text from Kyle with a link to a song that truly spoke to him. Music was one of the ways he connected with the people he loved.

NASCAR was another passion of Kyle’s. He loved attending races and watching them whenever he could. His favorite driver was #5, Kyle Larson—and he was quick to make sure no one confused him with Kyle Busch, a mistake that would definitely get him fired up. Kyle was also a devoted Tennessee Volunteers fan and enjoyed watching the Vols alongside friends and family.

Kyle will be remembered for his passions, his loyalty, and the connections he shared with those around him. He leaves behind family and friends who will miss him deeply and cherish the memories he gave them.

He is survived by his uncles, Jeff Smothers (Jackie) of Springfield, Sammy Smothers of Stewart, TN, and his aunt, Allyson Smothers of Germantown, TN. Cousins Kami Spurlock (Steve) of Greenbrier, Matthew Proctor (Morgan) of Clarksville, TN and Christopher Smothers (Stephanie) of Hendersonville, TN. His Grandfather, William F Abbott (New Albany, IN). Truly takes a village, Scott Sweatt (Ginger) of Greenbrier and Rose Rumel Moffett (Jeff) Maryville, TN were always available to step up as his family.

James Herbert Price JrJames Herbert Price, Jr. age 75 of Cross Plains passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at his home. He was born April 21, 1950, in San Antonio, TX to James Herbert & Clare Bell Goode Price. He worked as a musician and songwriter, with the ability to play many instruments. He was an avid golfer and Tennessee Titans fan.

James had many cats and loved his animals, especially his dog Wimpey. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia Karen Bunch Price, brother, Michael, and sister, Sue Ellen. He is survived by his stepsons, Rusty (Christine) Archer, Pueblo, CO, Robin Archer, White House, TN, and Randy (Cathy) Archer, Mesa, AZ; brother, John (Sharon) Price; 8 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

It was Mr. Price’s wish to be cremated and his ashes placed, along with his wife’s, in the columbarium at Hillcrest Cemetery in White House.

Jaime McNeeseJaime Ann McNeese, age 47, of Joelton, Tennessee, died Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at St. Thomas West in Nashville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 o’clock am, Tuesday, February 10th, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with her husband, Robin, delivering a eulogy, and Bro. Corey Minter officiating.

Burial will follow at 12:30PM in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville with Travis Persinger, John Rhodes, Travis Bullington, Richard Rediker, Brian Rediker, and Aden Perry serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Gerald Tate and Ernie Franklin.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 9th from 3:00-8:00PM, and again on Tuesday beginning at 8:00AM until the hour of service at 10:00AM.

Jaime was born on March 15, 1978, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Dorothy (Gerald) Tate and the late Ray Grosvenor. She was devoted to her family, friends, and coworkers, and sought to make every day brighter for those around her. She cared for others with a genuine “heart of gold”. Her legacy of sacrificial love, resilient mothering, and creative spirit will endure through all who had the privilege of knowing her. She attended New Hope Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Robin McNeese; son, Austin McNeese (fiancé Brooke Eli); daughters, Brianna (Travis) Persinger, Lilly McNeese, and Tiffany Collins; grandchildren, Forrest & Marlowe Persinger; sisters, Crystal (John) Rhondes and Courtney (Travis) Bullington; and brothers, Ray Grosvenor, Jr. and Dwayne Phillips.

Miss. Hallums was born September 18, 1949, in Springfield, to the late Hugh Franklin Hallums, Sr., and to the late Mary Agnes Norris Hallums. She was an Executive Secretary with local law firms most of her life.

She is survived by 2 brothers, Hugh F. “Frankie” Hallums, Jr. and his wife Jayne of Adairville, Ky, and John N. Hallums of Springfield; 1 sister, Marjorie Jean “Jeannie” Elliott and her husband Rodger of Springfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

Jay Adrian KritschJay Adrian Kritsch, age 60, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday, February 14th in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Bro. Donnie King and Bro. Bob Hargrove officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery with Adam Kritsch, Richard Beirne, Mike Bell, Preston Carr, Josh Mooneyhan, Richie Osborne, and Perry Simpson serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm Friday, and again from 1-2 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Kritsch was born July 17, 1965, in Richmond, IN, to the late Richard Eugene “Dick” Kritsch and the late Lorena Mae York Kritsch. He graduated from auto diesel college and was employed by the JM & A Group where he worked as a Fixed Operations Consultant for many years. Mr. Kritsch also refereed for the TSSAA for 20 plus years, coached Little League Baseball, and led his team to the World Series. He loved cars, deep sea fishing, riding his side-by-side and spending time with his grandkids. Jay attended Martins Chapel Church and was all about having fun to the extreme, and really enjoyed life.

He is survived by his son, Adam (Lilly) Kritsch of Tampa, FL; daughter, Olivia Kritsch of Springfield; grandchildren, Jayden, Avery and Jaxden; and his sister, Leah Kritsch of Springfield. Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.

Gage MarcumGage Thomas Marcum, age 28 of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, February 6, 2026.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o’clock am, Friday, February 13th, at 24 Church, 1502 Substation Rd in Pleasant View with his uncle, John Hallmark delivering a eulogy and Bro. David Royalty officiating.

Honorary pallbearers are Lane Williams, Bridges Cook, Adam Jacoway, Dylan McGavic, Braxton Eden, and Tommy Stone. His remains will be cremated following the services.

The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00-7:00PM on Thursday, February 12th and again on Friday beginning at 9:00AM until the hour of service at 11:00AM.

All visitation and funeral service will be at 24 Church in Pleasant View.

Gage was born on January 18, 1998 in Nashville, Tennessee to Glenn Thomas & Tonya Marcum. He dearly loved his family and friends, was a fan of the University of Kentucky sports, enjoyed playing golf, and was known for his “useless” trivial knowledge of music and history. Gage was a member of First Baptist Church Joelton.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Joe Thomas Marcum.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Gavin Marcum and Graham Marcum; sister, Sydney Marcum; very special girlfriend, Katelyn Olive; grandparents, Edith Marcum Hewell & Wayne Hewell, and William “Bobby” & Sandra Cox; niece, Sutton Marcum; Aunt & uncles, Nancy & John Hallmark, and Lance Cox; cousins, Brady Cox, Riley Cox, and Savannah Hallmark.

John Michael "Mike" NashJohn Michael “Mike” Nash, age 74, of Greenbrier, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026. Mr. Nash’s wishes were to be cremated and there are no services scheduled at this time.

Mr. Nash was born March 31, 1951, in Springfield, to the late Clarence Allen Nash, Jr., and the late Vivian Corinne Marshall Nash. He was a U.S. Army veteran and during his service was stationed in Germany. Mr. Nash went on to become an iron worker with Iron Workers Local Union 492.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Nash was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Covington; and a sister-in-law, Priscilla Nash.

He is survived by his brothers, Pat Nash, Allen (Sandy) Nash, and Micky Nash.

Phyllis “Joanie” Cornelison

Phyllis "Joanie" CornelisonPhyllis Joan (Joanie) Cornelison also known as Nana was born on Wednesday, November 2, 1949 in Paragould, Arkansas. She made her second and final trip to Heaven on Sunday, February 8, 2026 in White House, Tennessee. She was 76 years young. She is survived by her daughter : Janie (Jim) Elkins, favorite grandson : Tyler (DeNae) Elkins, granddaughter : Elise (Clint) Shipp, great-grandchildren, Amelia and Adeline Elkins, siblings : Iva Madigan, Ron Cornelison, Retha Dawson, and Gary (Jan) Cornelison, and last but not least soul sister : Brenda (Keith) Gray.

She is preceded in death by her parents Eldon and Alma (Willey) Cornelison. Joanie was a member of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville.She enjoyed time in nature, whether running, playing softball or water recreation during family reunions at Lake Norfork. “Nana Ninja” even earned a black belt in karate.

Her favorite author was Jane Austen. She was also an avid movie lover with classics like Peter Pan, The Princess Bride, and October Sky topping the list. Nana never missed an opportunity to thank a veteran for their service. Politics piqued her interest later on in life and she always encouraged everyone to register to vote.

During a trip to Georgia she even got to meet and attend the church service of the 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter, and his wife Rosalynn.Phyllis was a teacher until the very end with more than 30 years of experience. Her favorite subject to teach was math.She graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1968. She also obtained a Bachelor of Arts with honors from The University of Michigan – Flint in 1986, and then went on to receive a Master of Education from Michigan State University in 1992.

Graveside service will take place on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 1:00 in the afternoon at White House Memorial Gardens with Chaplin Travis Rose officiating.

Larry Perry

Larry PerryLarry Wayne Perry, 74, of Chapmansboro, TN, passed away on February 8, 2026. He was born on April 16, 1951, in Ashland City, TN, to Cam and Ruth Krantz Perry.

Larry was the owner of Larry Perry Construction and built many custom houses for over 20 years. Larry was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. He was a devoted husband, dad, granddaddy, great grandaddy, friend, and everyday gator driver to the great grandchildren and grand dogs.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Debi Perry of 56 years, and his two daughters, Stacy Brown (Ashley) and Kelly Daniel (Mark). He was the proud grandfather of Thatcher (Bailey) Brinkley and Jett Brinkley (Carlie Hogan), Preston and Fort Daniel, and Carter and Max Brown.

Larry also cherished his role as great-grandfather to Beckett, Baylor, and Birdie Ruth Brinkley.

He is also survived by his siblings, Nancy Moore, Grady (Cornelia) Perry, and Patsy (Donnie) Krisle. And several other nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Cam Perry and Ruth Perry Adkins (Sam), and brother-in-law Malcom Moore.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12 from 3-7pm at Austin & Bell in Pleasant View and a celebration of life will be held at a later date for close friends and family.
