Springfield: Scooter vs Vehicle – Rider Transported
SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) – Officials say an electric scooter and a passenger vehicle collided on Memorial Blvd Monday morning. The rider was transported to an area hospital, the first call came into 911 at 10:02 AM. The crash occurred directly in front of the Springfeld Inn.
The rider was initially transported non-emergency, but was upgraded to emergency traffic during transport to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. An update on his condition was not immediately available, but he was sitting up and talking at the scene, officials said. Reportedly, the rider rear-ended a Chevy Cruze, Springfield Police are investigating.
The Springfield Police Department, Robertson County EMS, and the Springfield Fire Department all responded to the scene.
