EMA: TORNADO CONFIRMED: EF-1 From Monday’s Storm System

ROBERTSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE (SMOKEY BARN NEWS): Officials have now confirmed that a tornado touched down in Robertson County during Nonday night’s storms.

According to the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, a damage assessment survey conducted Wednesday morning by the National Weather Service determined the storm has been officially rated an EF-1 tornado, with peak winds estimated at 95 miles per hour.

Officials report no injuries have been identified. Damage was limited to a small number of structures and vehicles, along with scattered tree debris across the affected areas.

Robertson County EMA credited the outcome to community preparedness and the swift response of emergency personnel. Agencies assisting during the event included the National Weather Service-Nashville, Robertson County 911, Ridgetop Fire Department, Greenbrier Fire Department, Robertson County EMS, the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, Nashville Electric Service, and the Nashville Office of Emergency Management.

Officials say they will continue working with local, state, and federal partners and encourage residents to remain weather aware and maintain multiple ways to receive warnings.
