PORTLAND, TENNESSEE (SMOKEY BARN NEWS): Another large area property is heading to the auction block later this month, with nearly 22 acres in Portland set to be sold at public auction May 30.
The property, located at 1804 Highway 52 East in Portland, includes a 2,190-square-foot brick home situated on approximately 21.9 acres and will be offered in two separate tracts. The property sits along Highway 52 East just a few miles south of the Kentucky line, approximately 14 miles from Interstate 65, and roughly 40 miles north of downtown Nashville, placing it within commuting distance of the Nashville metro area while still offering a rural setting.
According to auction information, the property includes barns, fencing, cross fencing, hardwood floors, a fireplace, and workshop space. The home was reportedly built in 1948.
Bluegrass Realty and Property Management, Inc is handling the auction and has scheduled the auction for Saturday, May 30 at 10 a.m. Prospective buyers may bid in person or online.
Terms of the sale include a 10% down payment on auction day, with the balance due within 30 days at closing. A 10% buyer’s premium will be added to the final bid price.
The property is also located near Portland’s historic district area and within a short drive of local parks, schools, and Portland’s downtown corridor.
