Senator Kerry Roberts In Legal Battle To Save Springfield Property

SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE (SMOKEY BARN NEWS): Senator Kerry Roberts, who represents Tennessee’s 23rd Senate District and resides in Springfield, Tennessee, is facing a legal battle in an effort to save his home and property.

In an exclusive interview with Smokey Barn News, Roberts and his attorney, Gino Bulso, discussed the circumstances surrounding the case and their lawsuit against Apex Bank.

The internet has been replete with rumors regarding what is happening to Senator Roberts and his property. In an effort to separate fact from speculation, Smokey Barn News reached out to Roberts’ attorney seeking clarification. Roberts and Bulso graciously agreed to meet with us and discuss the allegations, the foreclosure, and the legal action now pending in Robertson County.

According to Bulso, Roberts and his wife allege that Apex Bank engaged in fraudulent lending practices and acted in bad faith during the financing of a project that included improvements to the property and the construction of an event venue. The lawsuit alleges that the bank’s objective was ultimately to obtain ownership of the property rather than simply be repaid with interest on the loan.

A jury trial in the matter is currently scheduled for November 30, 2026. See our full interview above.
