Small Fire Reported At Greenbrier Sonic; No Injuries

GREENBRIER, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Firefighters responded to a small fire at the Sonic Drive-In in Greenbrier on Wednesday.

According to Greenbrier Fire Chief Kyle Hamel, the fire appears to have been caused by a buildup of grease. The fire was quickly extinguished by responding crews, preventing more significant damage.

All employees and customers exited the building safely, and no injuries were reported.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Greenbrier Fire Department, the Ridgetop Fire Department, the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, the Greenbrier Police Department, and Robertson County Emergency Medical Services.

Chief Hamel told Smokey Barn News that a cleanup and mitigation company is expected to work at the restaurant overnight. The Greenbrier Fire Department will follow up on Thursday to ensure the building remains safe for operation.

According to officials, the incident is not expected to have a significant impact on the restaurant’s operations.

Chief Hamel also confirmed that the fire was unrelated to the natural gas main rupture that occurred earlier in the day in Greenbrier.
