911 Hang-Up Call Leads Greenbrier Police to Major Drug Bust at Ridgewood Apartments
GREENBRIER, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – What began as a routine response to a 911 hang-up call ended with four arrests, the seizure of suspected fentanyl, multiple pounds of marijuana, firearms, and an investigation now involving federal authorities.
According to Detective Adam Tate with the Greenbrier Police Department, officers responded Wednesday, July 22, to a 911 hang-up call at Ridgewood Apartments, located in the 2045 block of Highway 41 South. As officers worked to determine the source of the call, they were led to an apartment where they reportedly detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the residence.
Based on their initial investigation, officers developed probable cause to believe illegal narcotics were present. Detectives obtained a search warrant, and during the search, investigators located a large quantity of suspected fentanyl, multiple pounds of marijuana, three firearms, and drug paraphernalia believed to be associated with the manufacture and distribution of illegal narcotics. Police said children were present inside the residence.
Four individuals were taken into custody without incident. Investigators also determined that one of the suspects had a prior violent felony conviction, making that individual prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition.
The four taken into custody are:
- Devin Demetrius Watts, 42
- Elexus Parks, 24
- Alexandria Melanice Mullins, 19
- Tysean Rashee-Leroy Parks, 20
Charges and Bonds:
Devin Demetrius Watts is charged with Possession of schedule II for resale (Fentanyl), Possession of schedule VI for resale (marijuana), Possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, 4 counts of child endangerment, Possession of drug paraphernalia (felony), Possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor), Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (3 counts), Possession of firearm ammunition by a convicted felon, His total bond was set at $200,000.
Elexus Parks is charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance for resale, possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance for resale, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, four counts of child endangerment, and felony and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Her total bond was set at $115,000.
Alexandria Melanice Mullins is charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance for resale, possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance for resale, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, four counts of child endangerment, and felony and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Her total bond was set at $115,000.
Tysean Rashee-Leroy Parks is charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance for resale, simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance for resale, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, four counts of child endangerment, and felony and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. His total bond was set at $120,000.
All four suspects were transported to the Robertson County Detention Facility in Springfield. As of the time of this report, all were still incarcerated.
According to Tate, the investigation is now being conducted jointly by the Greenbrier Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
