Motorcyclist Critical Following Cross Plains Crash
CROSS PLAINS, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A motorcyclist is in critical condition following a crash on Highway 25 near Cross Plains Friday evening.
The crash occurred on Highway 25 near Woodrow Wilson Road, the first call coming into 911 at 7:12 p.m. LOCATION OF CRASH
Smokey Barn News has learned that an initial assessment of the rider indicated multiple fractures and a head injury. The rider was wearing a helmet. The motorcycle became pinned beneath the guardrail during the crash.
Highway 25 was shut down while the patient was stabilized and transported, and the crash scene was investigated and cleared.
Officials told Smokey Barn News that the motorcyclist was transported in critical condition via LifeFlight to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
The Cross Plains Fire Department, the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, and Robertson County EMS all responded to the scene.
An update on the rider’s condition was not immediately available.
