Roll-Away Car Hits Train In Springfield

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Springfield man came out of the Depot Bar & Grill in Springfield with dinner to find his car had rolled into a passing train Thursday afternoon.

The accident occurred just before 6 pm. The vehicle’s owner, Shannon Parks, told Smokey Barn News that he came back out of the Depot to see the train rolling to a stop and his car not where he left it. (LOCATION OF CRASH)

The vehicle rolled from a parking space adjacent to the Depot, crossed 10th Ave West and rolled into the passing train. Fortunately, no one was in the vehicle and no injuries were reported.

Parks seemed to take the mild calamity in stride remarking that today was his anniversary. So from the crew at Smokey Barn News, Happy Anniversary.
