Active Water Rescue On The Red River
UPDATE: The canoers are safe.
ADAMS, TENNESSEE: Smokey Barn News) — Emergency crews are actively conducting a water rescue on the Red River near the 7800 block of Highway 41 North in Adams.
According to Robertson County Emergency Management, a canoe carrying two women capsized and is now pinned against a tree in a section of the river with strong currents.
Adams Fire, Robertson County EMS, and Emergency Management are working to reach the canoers and safely bring them out of the water.
