Royal Inn Time Lapse Demolition

UPDATE: Royal Inn land to be SOLD at auction

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – After about 50 years in operation, the Royal Inn in Springfield is gone. It took a week to bring down the old motel but with camera tricks and time-lapse photography, Smokey Barn News has carved it down to 120 seconds for you.

With a 50 year history, the Royal Inn was well known in Robertson County. In its heyday, it was popular with tourists traveling through but as times changed the old motel fell into disrepair and it was finally time for it to come down.

The demolition was very emotional for the Patel family who owned the motel. After so many years in operation, it was hard to say goodbye.

The good news for the Patel family is that the lot is in a very desirable location, directly across from Little Ceasars Pizza MAP and should fetch some reasonable coin. The Patal family told Smoky Barn News that the property will go to the highest bidder. If you would like to toss your hat into the ring call our office and we’ll get you connected with the Patel’s.

The question now is, what will go in the spot? What do you think? Tell us in comments.

Did you ever stay at the motel? Do you have a memory you would like to share? Tell us about it in the comments.
