Aug. 2 – Cross Plains to Host Family Fun Safety Day at Kilgore Park

CROSS PLAINS, TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) – Community members of all ages are invited to attend Safety Day at Kilgore Park in Cross Plains on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. According to Fire Chief Tommy Jackson. “The event promises an exciting and educational afternoon focused on public safety and preparedness.”
From bicycle safety to medical helicopters and fire extinguisher training, visitors will get a close-up look at the tools and teams that keep our region safe. Agencies from across the county and state will be on site with demonstrations, vehicles, and helpful resources.
Educational programs will cover a range of topics, including:

Neighborhood Watch (CP Police)
Organizations scheduled to participate include:
Cross Plains Police, Cross Plains Fire, Robertson County EMS, Robertson County Sheriff, TN Highway Patrol, TN DOT, TriStar NorthCrest, Tennessee Gas Association, Red Cross, CEMC, Tennessee Emergency Management, White House Police, TN Division of Forestry, TWRA, FrontLine Fire Suppression, Coopertown Police, Farmers Bank, and Smith Towing & Recovery.
