Car Crashes Into Storefront on Main St. In Springfield

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A vehicle crashed into a building in Springfield Monday afternoon. The accident occurred just before 2:00 p.m. in the historic district in Springfield just up the street from the Robertson County Courthouse.

The driver was not injured in the accident and no other injuries were reported. The driver was attempting to park on Main St when the accident occurred, according to police. The driver had come to Springfield to pay an insurance bill.

Police are calling it an accident, the driver will not be facing any charges.

The 1991 red Ford Escort will need some repairs before it is road worthy again.

This is the third vehicle related accident involving a building on Main St in Springfield in just the last few weeks. Back on September 21st a vehicle crashed into a home on Main St while the family was inside. MORE Then, on October 30, it happened again.
