GREENBRIER TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A driver who crashed into a building Monday afternoon has been charged with DUI and Reckless Endangerment after police say a 2-year-old girl inside the vehicle was not properly restrained.

According to Greenbrier Police, who are leading the investigation, the driver, whose name has yet to be released, was heading North on Hwy 41 when she lost control and crashed into a building.

Police say that, after losing control, the vehicle traveled across the southbound lanes of traffic, into a parking lot, and finally into a business.

The crash occurred in the 2700 block of Hwy 41 around 5 pm Monday afternoon. LOCATION OF CRASH According to Greenbrier Police, a 2-year-old female occupant (in the front passenger seat) inside the vehicle was not properly restrained, however, she was not injured. The driver (estimated to be in her 40’s) was transported after initially declining treatment, according to Robertson County EMS. No other injuries were reported.

The child was examined by Robertson County EMS and turned over to a family member.

The driver was taken into custody and charged with DUI, Child Endangerment, Child Restraint, and Driving On A Revoked License.

Robertson County EMS, the Greenbrier Fire Department, and the Greenbrier Police Department all responded to the call.
