Carjacking In Springfield

carjacking sliderAn officer was dispatched to Westgate drive in Springfield in response to an aggravated robbery Thursday January 31, 2013. The victim had been robbed at gunpoint and his vehicle stolen. The victim was visiting a family member at the time of the incident. He was approached by two African American males; one with braids and a beard, the other suspect was light skinned wearing a dark colored jacket with fur.  Both suspects approached him from behind. One suspect pulled out a black small caliber semiautomatic handgun and pointed it into his lower right side according to the police report. When the victim tried to turn around, he was told to not look back and to keep his hands in front of him. The suspects hit the victim several times causing him to fall to the ground. The suspects took 40 dollars, a silver Dallas Cowboys watch, and the keys to a 2012 dark cherry black Nissan Maxima tag # J91-31A. The victim believes he would be able to  identify one of the suspects.

Suspect 1: African American male, stocky build, braids, beard, dark clothing.

Suspect 2: African American male, thin build, blue bandana, dark jacket with fur around the hood.
