Cedar Hill Family Home Total Loss In Sunday Fire

CEDAR HILL TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Cedar Hill area home is a total loss after a Sunday fire tore through the structure Sunday evening.

The home is located in 3000 block of Edd Ross Rd, not far from Turnersville Rd. MAP

The call went out just before 10 pm that the home’s kitchen was on fire. Minutes later the fire was through the roof. Firefighters from Pleasant View, Adams, and  White House Community, with the assistance of the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, Robertson EMS, and the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office all leaped into action to try and save the home.

According to Fire Chief PJ Duncan with Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department, the family thought they had the fire out themselves and had gone out to ventilate the smoke but the fire was apparently still active and within minutes the home was a fireball. Chief Duncan said it’s a total loss.

According to Chief Duncan, 5 people lived in the home and all were all able to make it out safely. No other injuries were reported.

The family is understandably devastated by the loss of the home and according to Chief Duncan, the home was not insured. We did have some communication with the family at the scene. Should they choose to reach out to us with any needs that they have, or if a Go-Fund-me page is set up to assist them, we will certainly bring it to you.
