Close Call For Two In Hwy 49 Head-On Rollover Crash Early Sunday

COOPERSTOWN TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Hwy 49 was closed for about an hour Sunday morning following a serious two-vehicle head-on rollover crash that put two people in the hospital.

The crash occurred on Hwy 49 just outside Coopertown near the Mt Zion intersection just before 6 am. LOCATION OF CRASH

Assistant Fire Chief Allen Nicholson with the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department told Smokey Barn News that one of the occupants had to be extricated. “They were both very lucky,” Chief Nicholson said.

According to Robertson County EMS, a 20-year-old male was transported to NorthCrest Medical Center in stable condition. A 26-year-old male was transported to Skyline Medical Center in serious but stable condition. The THP is leading the investigation into the cause of the crash.

The Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department, Robertson County EMS, the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, and Coopertown Police all responded to the scene.
