Coopertown City Hall Closed Due To Covid-19
COOPERTOWN TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The city of Coopertown has temporarily closed City Hall due to exposure to COVID-19.
Coopertown Mayor Glen Guyer told Smokey Barn News Wednesday that he made the decision to close City Hall and have all employees tested after a worker inside City Hall tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Guyer, last Tuesday a city worker was not feeling well. The employee thought it was just allergies but a test returned a positive COVID-19 diagnosis.
Coopertown City Hall will remain closed for the next two weeks, depending on test results, Guyer said. Returning employees will need a negative COVID test to return to work.
The Police Department and the Street Department will continue to operate on a normal schedule.
