Saturday is our 8th Customer Appreciation Day. This is our way of saying “thank you” to our customers for supporting us during the past 12 years. Mothers Day is traditionally the start of the “planting season.” I remember every year growing up, taking my grandmother and mother to a nursery for Mothers Day and buying them flowers, another tidbit of “Southern Tradition.”
We are also having a fundraiser for Willow Oak Center for Arts and Learning. We have several fundraisers for different organizations during the year, again to support the community. This organization is near and dear to my heart. As you probably know, Roger Bunch has been invited to bring his chorale to Carnegie Hall Thanksgiving weekend to perform in “The Mass of the Children.” The mass choir is being directed by the composer, John Rutter. I am so honored and thrilled to be a part of this group. Willow Oak is totally Non-Profit. It takes all of us working very hard to be financially sound.
At the greenhouse, we will be serving hotdogs, chips, cakes, and drinks all day long. This has become a family tradition for many. Hope that everyone can come and have a wonderful day.
