Crash Sends Bicyclist to Hospital in Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News): A bicyclist was transported to an area hospital following a collision with a vehicle at the intersection of Memorial Boulevard and 8th Avenue Monday afternoon, the first call coming in to 911 at 2:45 p.m.
It did not appear that the rider sustained life-threatening injuries, but they were banged up with bumps, bruises, and scrapes. The rider was transported to a local hospital.
Specifics about the crash were not immediately available from officials. Part of Memorial Boulevard was blocked for about 20 minutes while police investigated. No further information was available.
The Springfield Fire Department, Springfield Police, and Robertson County EMS all responded to the scene.
