Cross Plains Annual “Trash To Treasure” Community Wide Yard Sale

CROSS PLAINS TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) –  The 29th annual Trash & Treasures Community-wide Yard Sale will be underway in Cross Plains, Tennessee on June 26 & 27, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm. The event raises funds for the operation of “The Doctor’s House,” a museum dedicated to area history and operated by the Cross Plains Heritage Commission.

For many years this event, on the last Friday and Saturday of June, has served as a bargain hunter’s paradise and a homecoming for visitors and former residents coming to Robertson County from as far away as New York, Florida, Michigan and Texas.

New this year on Saturday will be an appraisal fair at the museum, 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Connie Davenport, a licensed, nationally recognized appraiser will review antiques and family treasures for $5.00 per item, for a maximum of two items per person. Connie writes an appraisal column for The Tennessee Magazine. The fees will also benefit the museum.

Although food concession registration is closed, there are still spots available for anyone wanting to sell. Call (615) 654-2256 or email: [email protected] to get on the list. Final registration and payment of the $30 per space can be done in person in Thursday, June 25, Noon – 9:00 pm at the museum on Highway 25. Participants are encouraged to also set up their shade tents and tables in that day after completing registration paperwork and payment.
