WARNING: THIS VIDEO MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR YOUNGER VIEWERS
GREENBRIER, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – With the assistance of Greenbrier High School students, local First Responders performed a full-on simulated deadly crash to give students a firsthand look at the consequences of distracted driving. According to Chief Kyle Hamill with the Greenbrier Fire Department, the simulation was “as realistic as we could get it.”
The performance included a simulated fatality, a Life Flight scenario, and a student being taken into custody. Smokey Barn News would like to thank the Greenbrier Fire Department, the Greenbrier Police Department, the Robertson County Eergency Management Agency, Robertson County EMS, and Air Evac Lifeteam and Greenbrier High School and the student actors for allowing us incredible access to capture this simulation on video. Viewer discretion is advised, as younger viewers might not fully understand the scenario; it may be helpful to explain that this is a simulation designed to convey the serious risks of distracted driving.
