Donnie Eden Champions TriStar Health’s Plan For Emergency Care In White House

WHITE HOUSE, TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) – Donnie Eden has deep roots in White House, TN.

His father, Don, helped build the foundation of this community, serving as county commissioner and founding the White House Area Chamber of Commerce. Today, Eden continues that legacy, working to ensure the community remains a great place to live, work, and raise families.

For him, a key part of that vision is ensuring access to high-quality emergency care.

“As someone who’s grown up here, I’ve seen the way White House has evolved,” Eden said. “Our town has grown so much over the years, and with that growth comes the need for better healthcare access—especially when it comes to emergencies.”

Eden’s belief in TriStar Health isn’t just professional – it’s personal. Over 20 years ago, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a battle he won thanks to the care he received at a TriStar Health hospital. As a survivor for over two decades, he’s even more committed to supporting the health of his community and bringing lifesaving care closer to home.

Eden is throwing his support behind TriStar Health’s proposal to bring a freestanding emergency room to White House. As a past chairman of the White House Area Chamber of Commerce and a longtime advocate for the community, he believes this project is essential to meeting the needs of a rapidly growing population.

“White House is expanding, and so are the surrounding areas,” Eden said. “We have families moving in from all over, and it’s crucial that we have the right infrastructure in place to support them. That includes having emergency care close to home.”

Eden noted that White House residents, both longtime locals and newer arrivals, already trust TriStar Health for their medical needs, with nearly eight in ten emergency visits going to TriStar facilities. The proposed emergency room would build on that trusted relationship and provide a much-needed resource for the community.

“TriStar Health has been a part of our community for years, and they’ve earned the trust of the people here,” Eden said. “Bringing their emergency care services to White House just makes sense. It means our residents can get the care they need right when they need it, without having to travel far.”

For Eden, the project is more than just a convenience—it’s about ensuring the health and safety of White House residents for generations to come.

“I’m proud of how far White House has come, and I want to see it continue to grow in the right way,” Eden said. “This new ER would be a major step forward in keeping our community strong, healthy, and ready for whatever the future holds.”
