Downtown Springfield Building Ignites Friday Morning
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A large commercial building in downtown Springfield ignited Friday morning.
Springfield Firefighters made quick work of it, knocking the fire out in a matter of minutes. Firefighters call it a good-stop.
The large building ignited just after 10 am Friday morning. The building is located near the Main St/Batts Blvd interchange, or more specifically Batts Blvd and 12th Ave, just up the road from the Depot Bar & Grill and within eyeshot of the Robertson County Courthouse.
According to fire officials, about 10% of the building sustained fire damage. Long time residents will remember that the building was once a pool hall.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, no injuries were reported.
