Drawings & Specials! Guns & Leather Celebrate 25th Anniversary (Aug. 2nd-3rd)
GREENBRIER TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – For a quarter century Guns and Leather in Greenbrier has been an integral part of Robertson County, offering not just firearms, but a range of services including firearm safety education and training. Established in 1999 by Dennis and Bee Williams, the store has become a well-known and respected business in the area.
Dennis, who worked for Peterbilt in Madison for over 28 years, often faced layoffs and strikes. To make ends meet, he repaired vehicles and pursued his passion for firearms by obtaining his license to sell them. This side business eventually led to the opening of Guns and Leather at the Franklin Center in Greenbrier.
At the time, Guns and Leather was one of the few firearms retail stores in Middle Tennessee, drawing customers from as far as Williamson, Rutherford, Davidson, and Wilson counties. Within just five years, the store outgrew its original location, prompting Dennis and Bee to purchase and build an indoor range and retail store.
In October 2012, a devastating fire destroyed the facility, but the community rallied together to save most of the inventory. Smokey Barn News was there and captured footage of employees, neighbors and Firefighters working together to save as much inventory as possible as fire departments from across Robertson County battled the blaze. (FULL STORY) Thanks to this support, Dennis and Bee were able to rebuild and reopen the store by April 2013.
Guns and Leather located at 2216 Hwy 41 in Greenbrier, has since remained a staple in the Robertson County community. To celebrate their 25th anniversary on August 2nd-3rd, they will host a special event featuring drawings, product specials, and food from the beloved Smokey Ridge Grill food truck so be sure to go by and say hello.
Join Guns and Leather in celebrating this milestone and their continued dedication to the community. DIRECTIONS
