Driver Escapes Side St Rollover Without Injury

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Springfield Police are investigating after a vehicle flipped on a side street Saturday night.

The first call about the rollover crash came into 911 at 9:37 pm. A vehicle had flipped on Brentlawn Dr in Springfield. MAP According to officials at the scene the vehicle somehow made contact with the drainage ditch on the narrow street and flipped.

Fortunately, the driver escaped without injury. The Springfield Fire Department, Robertson County EMS and the Springfield Police Department all responded to the call.

Many rollover crashes occur on interstates and expressways but they can happen anywhere and at almost any speed. It’s easy to find reports of vehicles rolling over at low speeds. It all depends on road conditions, the angle or pitch of the road and if the vehicle is tripped by a curb, road anomaly, or in this case, a ditch.

Does Robertson County have a higher rate of rollover crashes than other counties? For the answer to that, take a look at this 2018 Smokey Barn News report on the numbers.
