Driver Flees After Crashing Into O’Reilly Auto Parts, Charged
GREENBRIER TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Little Rock Arkansas man is facing numerous charges after he allegedly crashed his pickup into O’Reilly Auto Parts in Greenbrier and fled the scene.
The incident occurred around 12:30 pm a the O’Reilly Auto Parts located a 2267 Hwy 41 South. MAP
As the driver fled, witnesses captured a partial plate number which led police to a home the suspect may have been house sitting, police said. On his way home, the suspect, now identified as 65-year-old Mcgill Smith of Little Rock Arkansas, additionally struck a vehicle and a light pole.
According to Lt. Buster Locklayer with the Criminal Investigation Division of the Greenbrier Police Department, Smith confessed to crashing his gray F150 pickup into O’Reilly’s and to drinking.
According to Robertson County EMS, Smith was transported from his home to TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield with non-life-threatening injuries.
Smith is facing a charge of DUI and, because there were two customers and two employees inside the store at the time of impact, four counts of Reckless Endangerment. His bond has been set at $13,500. PHOTOS: Greenbrier PD
