Employees Evacuated After Bomb Threat At Martinrea Fabco
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Smokey Barn News has confirmed with officials that Martinrea Fabco located at 1 Fabco Dr. in Springfield received a bomb threat early Monday.
The call came into 911 around 12:45 A.M. according to Robertson County 911 dispatch. After the call, the decision was made to evacuate the employees.
According to officials, the caller told the 911 operator that they were pretty sure they would not be able to find the bomb.
According to Captain Yates with the Springfield Fire Department who’s station responded to the call, a search was made with the assistance of Martinrea Fabco management and no device was found.
The company has decided to resume its normal schedule, Yates said.
Robertson County schools and companies have been plagued with bomb threats in the last few months. The calls are disruptive to companies and schools costing thousands of dollars in down-time and employee wages.
Officials told Smokey Barn News that, when caught, the caller will be facing charges of filing “False Reports, which in this case is considered a class “C” Felony and each call is considered a separate crime.
