Fatal I-65 Crash Causing Delays In Robertson County

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – One person has died following a crash on I-65 North at the 109.

Traffic is already backed up to the 106. The driver was transported with non-life threatening injuries. The passenger did not survive and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. If you’re traveling in the area expect delays and if it all possible avoid I 65 north.

According to the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, one lane is open but it may take 2 hours to clear the scene and completely reopen the interstate.

According to reports, a vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree and ignited. A citizen was able to put out the flames until Cross Plains Fire arrived.
