Fire at White House (TN) Hampton Inn Triggers Brief Evacuation

WHITE HOUSE, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The Hampton Inn, located on Hester Drive in White House, was briefly evacuated Saturday evening after a small fire erupted on a bench outside the hotel. MAP The flames spread to an outer wall behind the hotel, but the damage was largely superficial, the first call coming into 911 at 9:22 PM.

One official told Smokey Barn News that no part of the main building was impacted. Firefighters responded quickly, and thanks to their swift actions, the situation was brought under control with minimal damage to the hotel.

Guests were briefly evacuated as a precaution, but they have since returned to their rooms. The hotel remains fully open, with no structural damage reported. The Hampton Inn expressed their gratitude to the White House Fire Department, praising their fast response and “incredible work” containing the fire so quickly.

The cause of the fire has not been released.

The White House Fire Department, the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, Robertson County EMS, and White House Police all responded to the scene.
