Fire Destroys Abandoned Cedar Hill Home, Cause Unknown

CEDAR HILL TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – An abandoned Cedar Hill area home is a total loss after a fire ripped through the structure around 6 pm Saturday evening.

The home is located in the 2900 block of Heads Church Rd and had been unoccupied for many years. MAP

No injuries were reported and Firefighters from Pleasant View, Adams and White House Community Fire were able to prevent the fire from leaping to an adjacent home and other small outbuildings.

According to Assistant Fire Chief Trey Nelms with the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department, the home was not lived in but it was being used for storage. Unfortunately, the home and all of its contents are a total loss.

UPDATE FEB 19: The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office has released the following statement about the fire.

“The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the cause and origin of the fire,”  Jessica Drake PIO | Robertson County Sheriff’s Office.

As soon as the Sheriff’s Office is prepared to release their findings, we will bring it to you.
