Fire departments from Greenbrier, Ridgetop, Springfield and White House all responded to the blaze. According to Greenbrier Fire Chief, Kyle Hamill, the structure was fully involved when his team arrived.
Though the fire is still under investigation, the owner of Steel Blast LLC, Ivan Bell, told Smokey Barn News that he believes the fire may have been caused by equipment inside the shop, possible a welder.
Bell said he was surprised how quickly the fire took over the building. He said he had more stored inside the building than the building was probably worth. Though he is carrying insurance, Bell wasn’t sure if he had remembered to add some equipment he had recently acquired to his policies.
No one was injured in the fire and firefighters were able to prevent it from spreading to adjacent structures. Robertson County EMS and the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
According to Bell, Steel Blast LLC provides decorative concrete services.
