Fire Erupts at Springfield Inn, HVAC System Suspected
SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News), A fire at the Springfield Inn triggered a multi-agency response Monday afternoon after a climate control unit in one of the rooms ignited. The hotel is located at 2001 Memorial Boulevard, the first call coming into 911 at 3:25 p.m.
The Springfield Fire Department arrived quickly and contained the fire to a single room. No injuries were reported; everyone made it out safely. What we have learned preliminarily indicates a climate control unit was the ignition source, and the damage was contained to the one affected room.
The Springfield Fire Department, Robertson County EMS and EMA, and the Springfield Police Department responded to the scene. The incident did not affect hotel operations.
This was one of two fires in Springfield. A Springfield home sustained heavy fire and smoke damage after the back side of the home ignited Monday morning. FULL STORY
