Five Star Mfg. Temporarily Closes For Deep Cleaning After Employee Tests Positive For COVID-19
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Five Star Manufacturing located at 1004 Central Ave W in Springfield, announced today that they are temporally closing their Springfield facility to perform a deep cleaning following the discovery that one of their employees tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement released to Smokey Barn News Tuesday afternoon, Controller and EVP Mitch Israel said, “I am reaching out to let the community know that Five Star Manufacturing at 1004 Central Ave W in Springfield has one COVID 19 case. All employees who were in contact with the active case have been sent for testing. Today we will shut down our facility for a deep cleaning that will happen over the next few days. We will re-open after the cleaning and call back our employees.
According to their website, Five Star Manufacturing Company, founded in 1948, is a leading manufacturer of cold weather starting aids under the Kat’s Heaters brand of products as well as a wide variety of exhaust clamps and placards under its SmartParts family of products.
