Former Greenbrier Principal Gertrude Deal Dies, She Was Just 66
CEDAR HILL TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) – Gertrude N. Deal, 66 of Cedar Hill, TN died Saturday August 29, 2015 at her home.
Mrs. Deal was born August 24, 1949 in Robertson Co., TN to the late Horace Elbert Newberry Sr. and Sallie Kennedy Newberry of Adams, in addition to her mother she is also survived by her husband, Terry Deal of Cedar Hill; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Jodi Deal of Greenbrier, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Horace and Vickie Newberry Jr. of Cedar Hill; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Larry Schneider of Springfield; grandchildren, Amelia, Jasper and Milo Deal and nephews, Jason (Julie) Newberry and Joey (Emily) Newberry.
Gertrude attended Mt. Denson CPC, she was an educator for 36 years, 15 years as a teacher, 15 years as an assistant principal and 6 years as a principal, all at Greenbrier High School. She loved her grandchildren and educating and helping students.

Memorial services will be held at 5 pm on Wednesday September 2, 2015 in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home, with Bro. Frank Evans, Danny Weeks and Steve Sorrells officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3 pm until the hour of service at 5 pm.
