FREE Beginning Beekeeping Class Comes To Springfield

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The Robertson County Beekeepers Association will be hosting a FREE Beginning Beekeeping Class on March 9th and 10th.

UPDATE Location Change:

Please note that we have had to change the venue for the Robertson County Beekeeping Class on March 9th and 10th! We will be meeting at the UT Highland Rim Research and Education Center located on 3181 Experimental Station Road in Springfield. MAP

Friday’s topics from 6 -9 PM will include:
-Honeybee Biology/ Life Cycle
-Equipment and Gear required
-Installing your honeybees into their new home

Saturday 8:00AM -Noon:
-The Beekeeping Calendar- management of Your hive thru the seasons
-Pests/ diseases/& Treatments
-Inspecting a Hive
-And some hands on Woodenware construction
