Greenbrier Implements Burn Ban Amid Heightened Fire Risk
GREENBRIER, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The City of Greenbrier has released a statement indicating that, effective August 30th, open burning is not allowed. This decision follows the City of Millersville, which has already taken similar action due to the ongoing dry conditions. Residents are advised not to burn or use recreational fire pits until further notice.
“We are closely monitoring the weather and will reassess the situation after significant rainfall,” said Fire Chief Kyle Hamill. “Thank you for your patience as we work to prevent fires and keep our community safe.”
