Greenridge Civitans To Continue The Toys For Tots Program This Year
It is with great pleasure to inform the citizens of Greenbrier and Ridgetop that Greenridge Civitans are taking over the Toys for Tots program this year. I regret the shadow that has been put over the Greenridge Toys for Tots that has lead to my shutting down the program this year. I have turned over all of the cash that has been received this year and the Greenbrier Fire Department is turning over all of the funds collected from the picture fundraiser to the Greenridge Civitan as well. All toys and clothes purchased and donated this year will be given to them once they get set up.
Our Fire Department Chaplain Jack Evans will also work with the Civitans. The Civitans meet at Ebenezer Baptist Church and their contact is Ann Mayes. The Toys for Tots number is 615-418-9672. They have for years helped me in this program in all areas of how it works. I am thankful to them for carrying on one of my passions. Please support them in any way you can as you always did the Greenbrier Fire Department and Greenridge Toys for Tots. I thank everyone who has supported this program for my 18 years of service.
I thank God for the answer to my prayer and that is Greenridge Civitans for the willingness to carry this program on and to help those in need.
Sincerely,
Mayor Billy Wilson

I’m so glad they are continuing this.and I’m so sad to hear what is going on with billy. He’s been a family friend for many years and was a huge help when my mother(greenbrier middle school crossing guard) passed last year. He donated almost 2000 do you really think a man with that kind of heart would every do something like they are accusing him of? He’s an amazing person and an amazing man all around!!!!!!
