Greenbrier Middle School Cheerleaders Make Top 10
GREENBRIER TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The 2022/2023 Greenbrier Middle School Cheerleaders competed in 2 Regional Competitions finishing 1st in Traditional Division and 2nd in Game Day Division earning them a bid to compete at Nationals in both divisions, they would be only the second squad from GMS to earn this honor! We also competed in the TSSAA State competition in the traditional division earning them a 2nd place finish.
Greenbrier Middle School Cheer made the trip to Disney for the Nationals competition, for their first day of competition, they would have to compete against 30+ teams, 3 times over a 13-hour period in order to advance. The girls had prelims, advanced to semi’s and then rounded the day off competing in semis for the traditional division. The girls advanced to finals for Game Day and were one spot away from advancing to finals in Traditional.
GMS cheer finished off by placing 7th in the Nation in their Game Day division.
“Making it to the Finals at the National level is a huge accomplishment in itself, finishing in the top 10 is an amazing accomplishment for any cheer team!” said Coach Stephanie Hamilton
