Several of the victims thought their vehicles were hit with gunfire but after a joint investigation conducted by Ridgetop and Greenbrier Police it was determined that it was in reality a BB or Pellet type of Gun.

Police say that the pellets had enough force to penetrate the glass of two of the vehicles and caused small dents in fenders of the others. According to Police, one of the vehicle occupants was a young child but the child was not injured.

Though a BBs and Pellets are not likely to cause life threatening injuries they can cause serious eye injuries. The area of Hygeia Rd that the incident occurred has several sharp turns, the shooter(s) are fortunate that none of the drivers panicked and lost control of their vehicles.
