SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The Robertson County School Transportation Department is once again inviting the community to help local students by participating in its annual “Stuff the Bus” school supply drive.
The event will be held at the Springfield Walmart on Friday, July 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 1, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Community members are encouraged to donate school supplies that will help students and families throughout Robertson County.
According to the Transportation Department Director Kenny Hardaway, all donated items will be delivered to the Robertson County Family Resource Center, where they will be distributed to students and families in need throughout the county.
Requested donations include notebooks, pencils, crayons, markers, folders, glue, scissors, binders, copy paper, and other classroom essentials.
School officials say they look forward to seeing the community come together Friday and Saturday to help ensure local students have the supplies they need for a successful school year.
