ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The Robertson County Amature Radio Club joined the world with their annual Field Day at Travis Price Park this Saturday.
It’s an opportunity to reach out to other operators across the globe. According to event representative Bill Jones, the purpose of the “field day” is training and preparedness in the vent of an infrastructure collapse. Tornados, storms, floods, and nuclear events can wipe out communications. When that happens, the fallback is high-frequency radio communications.
