Obituary for Tommy Wilson
Thomas H. Wilson, age 79, entered his eternal rest on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Martin-Boyd Christian Home in Chattanooga, TN. Tommy was the son of the late Henry and Vera Spain Wilson of Coopertown, TN. His beloved wife of 44 years, Katie Brake Wilson along with his sister and brother-in-law, Dorena and Ralph Nichols, also predeceased him.
Tommy graduated from Coopertown High School and Nashville Business College. He started working at First American Bank and retired when it was known as AmSouth Bank. Tommy was a lover of all things Country Music and the Grand Ole Opry. He was able to meet several artists, his favorite being Dolly Parton. After his retirement, he worked on the General Jackson and managed the Holiday House of Springfield. Tommy enjoyed clogging, square-dancing, his nieces and nephews and being a very social person until the disease of Alzheimer’s began to take its toll on him. Up until this time, he was an active member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ.
Tommy is survived by his nieces and their husbands: Faith Ann (Allen) Gunn, Dianne (Randy) Simmons, and Glynda Kay (Greg) Turner. He also loved dearly Katie’s many nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be December 28, 2024 from 10am to 12pm at Robertson County Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at 2pm at Hendersonville Memorial Gardens. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Jeff Brake, one of his beloved nephews, will be officiating.
His family would like to thank his caretakers at Morningside of Springfield who loved him like family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tommy’s name may be made to Churches of Christ Disaster Relief or the animal shelter of your choice.

Obituary for Virginia C. Palmer

Cottontown
Virginia C. Palmer, 87, of Cottontown, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in White House. Born March 26, 1937, in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late Carl Hubert Covington and Hazel Williams Covington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jerry C. Palmer.
She is survived by her daughter Karen Palmer, son Craig Palmer and Jen Heflin.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19, from 11am until 2pm. A funeral service followed at 2pm. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Municipal Cemetery, White House.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Charter Senior Living in White House , Tennessee, for the care they showed Virginia.

Obituary for Lawrence Wilhelm
Lawrence Gregory Wilhelm, age 75, of Gentry, Arkansas passed away on December19, 2024.
He was born in Norfolk, Virginia on December 7, 1949 to the late John Matthew Wilhelm & Alice Marie (Champeau) Wilhelm.
Lawrence was a stubborn, yet laidback “California Boy”. He was also a proud U.S. Army veteran.
In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and repurposing furniture; but most of all, he loved spending time with family. He was a loving husband, father, PaPa, son, brother, and friend whose memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by son, Brian Knight; and sister, Barbara Wilhelm.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Moore Wilhelm, of Gentry, Arkansas, and formerly of Pleasant View, Tennessee; daughter, Lisa Phillips and husband Ricky of Gentry, Arkansas; brother, David Wilhelm; grandchildren, Dylan Phillips and wife Emily of Bentonville, Arkansas, Damon Phillips and girlfriend Victoria Rendon of Bentonville, Arkansas, Coty Dill and Dustin Dill both of Tennessee; and three great-grandchildren.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Obituary for Jay Barton Stansbery
Jay Barton Stansbery, age 88 of Clarksville passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Fieldstone Place in Clarksville, TN.

Mr. Stansbery was born March 26, 1936 in Nebraska to the late Kenneth and Florence Scott Stansbery. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Lynn Stansbery.
Mr. Stansbery enjoyed watching football, basketball and baseball. He also was an avid reader of many books and loved horse racing.
He is survived by former wife Judi Stansbery; daughters, Heather (Spencer) Damer of Adams, TN; Shanie Madrid of Clarksville; sister Paige (John) Brown; grandchildren, Matthew Johnson, Chase Damer, Trevor Damer, Brooklyn Richmond; great-grandchildren, Mason Johnson, Callie Johnson and Beau Damer.

Shirley Ann Hall Franks, age 81 of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
The family received friends Saturday, December 21st at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier 11AM until 1Pm where a graveside service followed at Rock Springs Cemetery with Rev. Randy Harman officiating.
Shirley was born in Springfield, TN to the late Orin and Christine Baggett Hall. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Leighann Birk; sisters, Alice Faye Sullivan and Betty Jean Douglas.
She loved traveling, reading and spending time with her sisters and friends. She was a member at Springfield Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Valarie (Scott) Benford of Muscle Shoals, AL; sister Elizabeth Rawls of Springfield, TN and grandchildren, Tanner Bozeman and Mollie Melton.

Jason Wayne Hudgens, age 50, of Pleasant View, Tennessee, died Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
A memorial service was conducted at 6 o’clock pm, Friday, December 20th, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bill Holt officiating.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 4:00PM until the hour of service at 6:00PM.
Jason was born on June 21, 1974, in Columbus, Mississippi, to Johnny & Potjaman Thepkuson Hudgens. He was a production tech in the music industry and was formerly employed with the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office for 11 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his boys and best dog, Ruger. Jason was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Wade & Ruth Hudgens.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Christina Hudgens; and sons, Wesley Dalrymple and Johnny Hudgens.

Mrs. Mildred was born on March 23, 1929, in Chapmansboro, Tennessee, to the late Bryan & Clodys Smith Sanders. She retired after 33 years in the banking and real estate development business. She was in both the Cheatham County Sports Hall of Fame and the Women’s Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville. She was a member of the first women’s world basketball championship team in 1953. Mrs. Mildred loved her family, most especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Morris Bidwell; brother, Stanley Sanders; and sisters, Sylvia Binkley, Bille Jean Perry, and Lela Allen.
She is survived by her daughters, Marissa (Doug) Vann and Melodie (Richard) Marshall; brother, Wendell Sanders; grandchildren, Nikki (Michael) Pardue, Brian (Sarah) Vann, Kristin (Justin) Lorts, and Kasey (Ross) Rinehart, and great-grandchildren, Xander, Millie, & Harper Pardue, Katherine, Caroline, & Meredith Vann, Kinley, Kooper, & Kendall Lorts, and Jase & Jett Rinehart.

Wanda K. Crabtree age 89 of White House passed away Monday, December 16, 2024 at Skyline Medical Center. She was born April 7, 1935 in White House, TN to Roy & Carrie Lee Wheeler Kelly. She worked as the kitchen manager for Canteen Corporation. She loved shopping, attending church functions, sewing, embroidering and was an avid reader. She was a member of White House First Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob Crabtree. She is survived by her son Richard “Buddy” (Sheila) Crabtree, White House, TN; daughter, Pat (Tom) Gipson, Palm Bay, FL; 6 grandchildren, Cat (DJ) Thompson, Michael (Amanda) Crabtree, David (Lyndsey) Horner, Kasey (Dustin) Rye, McKayla (Chris) Froeba and Sarah (Brooks) Rauschehberger; 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service is scheduled for Friday, January 3, 2025 at 2pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor Ashley Mofield officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with Michael Crabtree, Nolen Horner, Deacon Thompson, DJ Thompson, Hayden Thompson and David Horner serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Thursday, January 2, 2025 12pm-7pm and Friday, January 3, 2025 10am-2pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions would be greatly appreciated to the White House First Baptist Church van fund.

Obituary for Dennis Cline Jr.
Dennis Cline, Jr., age 59 of Greenbrier passed away Friday, December 13 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.
Funeral Services were held at 1pm, Thursday, December 19, 2024, in the Chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier, TN with Bro. Rich Mougin officiating. The family received friends 10 a.m. until time of service on Thursday. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Dennis was born in Muncie, IN on February 11, 1965, to the late Dennis Cline, Sr. and Bonnie Murray Rawlings. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Cline.
He is survived by his wife, Trudy Cline of IN; son, Zachary Cline; stepfather and mother, Donald and Bonnie Murray Rawlings of Greenbrier and a brother Greg Cline of Greenbrier.
Dennis was a graduate of Muncie Central High School in Muncie, IN, home of the Bearcats.
He was definitely an Indianapolis Colts fan and loved sports of any kind. He loved being around people and talking and always called Indiana “home”. He was employed at Martinrea Fabco as a Quality Control Inspector. Dennis also served his country in the US Army.
