Obituary for Alvin C. Dale
Alvin Clure Dale, age 85 of Springfield, TN, died Sunday June 18, 2017 at North Crest Medical Center. His remains rest at Robertson County Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday June 21, 2017 at 11 AM in Springfield Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm. There will be no visitation on Wednesday before the graveside service.
Mr. Dale was born November 9, 1931 in the Hartsaw Cove Community of Overton, Co., TN to the late Marvin Clyde Dale and Nora Belle Brown Dale. His son, David Dale and sister, Martha Graham also preceded him in death. Mr. Dale graduated from Austin Peay State University, was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired transportation manager for Unarco. He was a lifelong farmer who loved raising cattle.
Surviving him are his son, Gregory Dale of Springfield, daughter and son-in-law, Jackie Dale Parker and Robert, grandson, Joshua Parker, all of Salem, AL
If so desired, the family request memorial donations may be given in memory of Mr. Dale to the American Cancer Society. All donations may be sent in care of the Robertson County Funeral Home.

Obituary for Maggie Durham
Marguerite Phyllis “Maggie” Durham, age 67, of Cedar Hill, Tennessee, died Thursday, June 15, 2017 at NorthCrest Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 o’clock pm, Wednesday, June 21st at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Pastor Dennis Herron officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Clarksville with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, June 21st, beginning at 11:00AM until the hour of service.
Mrs. Durham was born on September 16, 1949 in Framingham, MA to the late Philip and Irene Noyes. She was a registered nurse and a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Vietnam War. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Peter Noyes.
Maggie is survived by her husband, Dale Durham; daughters, Ann (Roger) Thompson, and Phyllis (Joe) Reeves, both of Clarksville; brother, Carlton Noyes of Massachusetts; sisters, Fran Spencer of Colorado, and Elaine DiGiovanni of Maryland; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View assisted the family with these arrangements.
Obituary for Ruby Brinkley
Age 92, passed away June 14, 2017. She was born March 1, 1925 in Macon County, Tennessee, to the late Estill Hammock and the late Ava Meador Hammock. She married Ruby Brown Brinkley in December of 1940 and they were married for over 62 years before his death in 2003.
Mrs. Brinkley retired after working in the cafeterias of both White House Elementary and High Schools. She was a member of Birdwell’s Chapel Church of Christ for many years. She also enjoyed and regularly attended Senior Citizens functions in White House.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers Willie Cordell Hammock, Jacob Winford Hammock, and sister Mary Ellean Hammock Latimer.
She is survived by daughters, Peggy (John) Crunk of Brentwood, TN and Destin, FL; Linda (Ellis) Hopper of Concord, NC; and Kathy (Alton) Lassiter of Hendersonville, TN; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by half sister Peggy Hammock Sawyers of Fayetteville, TN.
Funeral services were held on June 17, 2017 at one o’clock at Birdwell’s Chapel Church of Christ with a three hour visitation prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Birdwell’s Chapel Church of Christ, 3170 Highway 25, Cottontown, TN 37048.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House, TN.
