Obituary for Rickey Dean

Rickey DeanRickey Gleen Dean, 62, of Springfield, died Sunday November 12, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday November 15th at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church with Reverend Bob Carroll, Dr. Sabi Kumar, and Dr. Tommy Crunk officiating. Pallbearers will be Jamie Dean, Kevin Dean, Tyler Craig, Toby Craig, Bill Marsh, Jason Gannon, Jacob Peach, and Trenton Peach. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Sabi Kumar, Dr. Robert Shearer, R.J. Woody, Dwight Dean, Danny Dean, Jeff Hensley, Kenny Rawls, and Bruce Rawls. The family will receive friends at the Grace Baptist Church on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Rickey was born April 4, 1955 in Springfield to the late J.C. and Margaret Osborne Dean. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Rickey worked many years as a surgical technician with Jesse Holman Jones Hospital. He loved all his animals, and he loved playing Santa at both the hospital and at Wal-Mart. In addition to his floral squareparents, he was preceded in death by his son: Dustin Dean and his brother: Michael Dean.

Rickey is survived by his wife of 43 years: Cheryl Osborne Dean of Springfield, his daughter: Destiny Dean of Springfield, brothers: Danny and Dwight Dean both of Springfield, sisters: Brenda Wooden and Betty Sue Rawls both of Springfield and Diane Dean of Missouri, grandchildren: Tyler and Toby Craig.

Pastor Steve WoodyPastor Steven Lee “Steve” Woody age 54 of Springfield, TN, died Sunday November 12, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 15, 2017 at 10 am in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Dr. Donnie Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Larry Osborne, Barry Yates, Billy Wayne Norris, Leano Chavez, Kenny Rawls and Bernard Armstead serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 4 to 8 pm and again on Wednesday from 9 am until time of service.

Pastor Steve was born September 12, 1963 in Robertson Co, TN to the late David and Nancy Brooksher Woody. He was called to the ministry serving Keysburg Baptist Church and then Lighthouse Baptist as Pastor. He enjoyed traveling and mission work, going to Brazil and Trinidad on mission trips and traveling to the Holy Land. He loved his family, but it should be said he loved serving people.
floral squareSurviving Steve are his wife, Kathleen Blackburn Woody of Springfield; son and daughter-in-law, Ranel and Lisa Woody of Springfield; brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Sheila Woody of Springfield; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Bill Colwell of Springfield and Brenda Lynn Atkins of Springfield and two granddaughters, Renee Woody and Paige Woody.

Obituary for Charles H. Vandertang

Charles H. Vandertang, 71, of White House, died Sunday November 12, 2017 at Centennial Medical Center. Born Nov. 5, 1946 in Rochester, NY, Charles was the son of the late Peter J. and Helen L. (Maurer) Vandertang. He lived in NY state for most of his life and moved to Tennessee some 10 years ago. Charles was a graduate of Wor-Wic Technical Community College, Salisbury, MD and had worked at various jobs including owning and operating a home improvement business. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era and was a member of VFW Post 4895 in Clarksville, TN. Charles enjoyed golfing, fishing and especially horse races in his leisure time.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his sisters, Eunice Muniz and Dianne Cary. He is survived by his wife, Sue Vandertang; his daughter, Brenda Sue (Ed) Tyree; his step-son, Tim Hudgens; his grandsons, Brandon and floral squareAndrew Tyree; his sisters, Nancy (Doug) Jones and Helen (Bob) Fantauzzo; and several nieces and nephews, Carl Geer, Donna Sawyer, Pete Geer, Doug Jones, Tina Jones, Kelly Delvecchio, Jen Geer, Sheila Turner and David Leonard.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-8 PM and Friday from 11:30 AM – 1 PM at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville. A Life Celebration Service will be held at 1 PM with burial to follow at White House Memorial Gardens.

Obituary for Emogene Pearson

Emogene PearsonEmogene Stephens Pearson passed away on Saturday November 11, 2017 at the home of her daughter in Dumfries, Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted Friday November 17th at 1:00 p.m. at the Dean Funeral Chapel in Adairville, KY with Reverend Tim Sizemore officiating. Interment will follow in the Russellville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Emogene was born on June 17, 1922 in Danville, KY to the late Charles Herbert and Hattie Morgan Stephens. She was a graduate of Norton Memorial Infirmary School of Nursing in Louisville, KY and worked for the Norton hospital and as an Industrial nurse at International Harvester. Emogene was the nurse for Drs. Richardson and Martin in Adairville, KY until 1986 when the family moved to Louisville. She was a member of the Church in the Meadows in Lakeland, FL where she and her husband had retired in 1986. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Colonial Dames.

She is survived by a son, Robert Stephens Pearson (Debbie) of Boca Raton, FL and a daughter, Linda Pearson Phillips (John David) of Dumfries, VA. Three grandchildren, Becca Watson, Sara Dennis, and Alan Pearson, and three great grandchildren Trent, Ryder, and Maci Dennis).

He was born in Nashville, TN on December 9, 1940 to the late Jesse Clifford and Gladys Kyte Polk.

He was a retired Ride Mechanic for Opryland USA and was also a Veteran of the US Navy.

Kenneth HeadKenneth Wayne Head, age 67, of Clarksville, Tennessee died Monday, November 13, 2017 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock pm, on Thursday, November 16th with Pastor Bobbie Martin and Reverend Regina Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel United Methodist cemetery with Derrick Head, David Head, Cash Baker, Josh Morgan, Avery Head, and Zachary Head serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Phil Holt.

The family will receive friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View on Wednesday, November 15th from 2:00-8:00PM and again on Thursday beginning at 12 noon until the hour of service.

Mr. Head was born July 17, 1950 in Clarksville. He was a farmer, a former owner and operator of Grower’s Tobacco Warehouse in Springfield, and a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.

Mr. Head is preceded in death by his father, James “Richard” Head; sister, Pat Head Summitt “Trish”; and nephew, Chuck Head.

He is survived by his wife Debbie Head; sons, Chris (Jessi) Head of Cedarburg, WI and Richie (Belinda) Head of Clarksville; mother, Hazel Albright Head of Henrietta; brothers, Tommy (Deloris) Head of Clarksville and Charles (Mitzi) Head of the Thomasville community; sister, Linda Head of the Thomasville community; floral squaregrandchildren, Meredith, Audrey, Rolan, Caleb, Luke, and Riley Head; mother-in-law, Martha Laverne Bailey “Mama Vern” of Ft. Payne, AL; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Ricky Lee BauscherAge 58 of Springfield passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at his home. He was born December 11, 1958 in Colfax, Washington to Harold and Margie Schilling Bauscher. He worked in the construction industry and also as a factory worker with Electrolux. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines and was of the Lutheran faith. He loved sports, especially the Seattle Seahawks and had been a stay at home grandfather for the past two years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Hull; brother, Chuck Bauscher. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lorraine Long Bauscher; son, Keenan Bauscher; daughter, Faith Bauscher, all of Springfield, TN; mother, Midge Hull; sister, Lisa floral square(Ken) Strickland, both of Wewahitchka, FL; 2 grandchildren, Kayden Bauscher and Addilyn Bauscher, Springfield, TN.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, November 17, 2017 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Jon Briggs officiating. Visitation is planned for Friday, November 17, 2017 10am until the time of the service at 1pm.

Obituary for Mike Warren

Mike WarrenAfter a brave fight, Mr. Louis Michael “Mike” Warren, age 67, of Springfield, passed away peacefully from heart transplant complications on Sunday, November 12, 2017 surrounded by family and love.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 11am at the Oakland Baptist Church with Brother Daniel Dennis, Alan Warren and Brother Bob Carroll officiating.

Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 4-8pm and again on Thursday from 9am until the hour of service at 11am.

Mr. Warren was born September 20, 1950 in Nashville to the late William and Jessie Binkley Warren. He was a Framing Contractor and member of the Oakland Baptist Church. Mr. Warren was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and was a big UT fan.

In addition to his parents Mr. Warren is preceded in death by his brother, Danny Ray Warren and his niece, Mary Beth Warren. William Gregory KileAge 62 of Springfield passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017 at his home. He was born April 29, 1955 in New York, New York to William George and Doris Rose Kile. He worked as a registered nurse and was currently employed as a pharmacy tech at Southside Drugs in Springfield, TN. He attended Epiphany Baptist Church. He was a very quiet man and very gifted in his nursing studies. He loved his Siberian Husky, Nanook. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Denise was born in Kalamazoo, MI on July 17, 1960 to the Ronald Boelman and the late June Imanse Boelman.

She worked as a Bartender at Red Lobster in Goodlettsville for 36 years. She was a wonderful and loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.

Chuck MaceroCharles “Chuck” William Macero, age 55, of Pleasant View, TN, died Thursday, October 9, 2017, at NorthCrest Medical Center. His remains will be cremated and a memorial service conducted at a later date.

Mr. Macero was born March 31, 1962 in Kingston, New York to the late Angelo and Martha Miller Macero, Jr.

He worked in manufacturing maintenance and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He was a lifetime farmer, an avid fisherman and a member of the Adams United Methodist Church.

In addition to his mother Mr. Gill is survived by a many loving cousins and dear friends who will miss him very much.
