Obituary for James Cady Evans

James Cady Evans, age 72, passed from this life on Thursday, March
19, 2020, the 1st day of Spring, at his home on Two Mile Pike,
Goodlettsville, TN.

Jimmy was born on Tuesday, August 26, 1947 to the late JC and
Ruth Thomas Evans in Springfield, TN.

He is survived by his brother, John W. Evans of Fort Myers, Florida,
cousins, church family and his many friends from Springfield and
Brentwood, TN where he resided for many years. He will be fondly
remembered by his co-workers at American Paper and Twine of
Nashville, TN from where he retired.

floral squareJC was a graduate of Springfield High School class of 1966, served
as Senior Class Secretary and was a member of Coach Boyce
Smith’s football team for four years. He attended the University Of
Tennessee and was a loyal Vols fan. Snag, as his classmates
affectionately called him, was an active member of his Class
Reunion Committee and worked diligently to ensure each reunion
was a big success. His quick wit, contagious smile and sense of
humor will be missed by all who love him.

Arrangements for Pastor Emmitt G. Jones Jr

On Thursday, March 26, 2020, Pastor Emmitt Guylester Jones Jr., was summoned to the Throne of Grace. He was the son of the late Mr. Emmitt Guylester Jones, Sr. and Mrs. Flora Woodson-Jones. Pastor Jones was born November 11, 1939, and is preceded in death by his sister, Annie and brothers, Sammy and Donnie Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memory and continue his legacy a Loving wife of 50 years, Mrs. Lovie Ann Utley-Jones.

Pastor Emmitt Jones, Jr. attended the public schools of Springfield, TN. In 1965 he joined the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War as a Specialist. During his tour in the Army he was awarded the Marksman Medal for the M-14 and a Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Jones received an honorable discharge from the United States Army in 1969 as a Combat War Veteran. Pastor Jones then attended the American Concrete Institute and became a certified Concrete Flatwork Finisher and began his career in construction.
Pastor Emmitt Jones, Jr. joined into Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Lovie Ann Utley on November 7, 1970. To this union four children were born. He was a hardworking provider, devoted family man and a loyal servant of GOD.

Pastor Jones began his service in the church as an usher and later became a deacon, Sunday School teacher and eventually a Pastor. Pastor Emmitt Jones Jr. was ordained into the ministry on April 24, 1977, at Star Calvary Baptist Church in Adams, TN serving under the leadership of Pastor George Clemmons, Sr. Throughout the years he has rendered various services in the House of the Lord. He pastored New Hope Baptist Church from 1981 until 1998 when he became the Founder and Pastor of Faith House of Prayer from 1998 until 2000. Pastor Jones served at Star Calvary Baptist Church as an Associate Pastor from 2000-2003 and from 2003 until he was called home, Associate Pastor of Grace Tabernacle Christian Center.

Pastor Emmitt Jones Jr. leaves to carry his torch a son in the Ministry, Pastor Juan Rodriquez, Pastor of Grace Tabernacle Christian Center, Portland, TN. He also leaves to cherish his memory four children, Curtis (Saymond) Jones, Sr., of Lady Lake, FL, Thomas (April) Jones, Sr., of Gainesville, FL, Tamara and Trina Jones both of Springfield, TN. He also leaves two sisters, Ann floral squareDarden of Ashland City, TN and Betty (Jack) Jackson of Louisville, KY. Pastor Jones has fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Private funeral service was Saturday, March 28, 2020 at W. D. Crowder Funeral Home with Pastor Juan Rodriguez, Officiant; private interment was in Restlawn Memorial Garden.

Arrangements for Janice M. Sharkey

Janice Marie Scharkley was born April 3, 1963, in Portland, Tennessee to the late Nola. B, Baker and Willie Lawrence Scharkley. She departed this life, March 25, 2020 at Vanderbilt Hospital after a long battle with heart disease.

She was educated in the Sumner County School System and was a graduate of the White House High School Class of 1981. She furthered her education at Austin Peay University. She was employed as a Head Deli Manager with Kroger for over 30 years. Later employed by ABM as an Airport Shuttle Driver.

She was baptized at a young age as a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she sang and directed many choirs. Janice loved the Lord and did not mind lifting her voice to Praise Him. She found testimony in singing her song, “Showers of Blessings.”

“Juicy” as she was affectionately called by many, loved life to the fullest extent. She came and went just like she wanted too, never getting in a hurry. Just took one day at a time. Janice loved to cook and enjoyed catering food whenever she got the opportunity.
In passing, she leaves to mourn her daughter, Chelsea Dowlen; grandson who she loved so dear, James Antonio Craig, Jr.; two sisters, Brenda (Reginald) Ward of Atlanta, GA, Patricia Scharkley floral squareof Goodlettsville, TN; one niece, Jeanette Toliver; one great niece, Malia Toliver; step dad, Jerry (Ruby Lee) Mitchell; step brother, Jason Mitchell (Michelle) and nephew, Jason Mitchell, Jr.; four aunts, Eunice Chabino, Margie Scharkley, Ernestine Jones and Alice Thomas and a host of cousins and friends.

Private funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at W. D. Crowder Funeral Home with private burial at Greenwood North Cemetery, Nashville, TN.

Obituary for Selina Gayle Gardner

Selina Gayle Gardner, 58, of Cedar Hill, passed from this life into the presence of her Lord on Wednesday March 25, 2020 at North Crest Medical Center. A private family visitation will be held at the Star of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Adams, followed by a private family graveside service in Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill on Monday March 30th.

Because of the current conditions surrounding COVID-19, the family will have a public Memorial Service in celebration of Miss. Gardner’s life at a future date to be announced.

Miss. Gardner was born January 14, 1962 in Springfield, a daughter of the late Woodard and Mamie Jean Toliver Gardner, Sr. She professed Christ at an early age and was a member of Star of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Adams. She was a graduate of Jo Byrns High School Class of 1980, and then attended Vol State Community College. Miss. Gardner worked as a Surgical Technician at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She loved cooking, baking, watching basketball and football, as well as many other sports. Her teams were the Vanderbilt Commodores, the North Carolina Tarheels, and the Tennessee Titans. She loved her church family and always enjoyed attending Bible study. Miss. Gardner was loved by all her family that she cherished so much.

Obituary for James O. McKisic, Jr.

James O. McKisic, Jr., age 64 of Adairville, KY, died Tuesday March 24, 2020 at his home.

The family will have a private graveside service in Maplelawn Cemetery in Adairville.

Mr. McKisic was born December 10, 1955 in Fort Knox, KY to James O. McKisic Sr and the late Edna T. Shannon McKisic. His mother-in-law, Mattie B. Wynn and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John Thomas and Wanda Wynn also preceded him in death. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness where he was a former elder and ministerial servant. He has worked for the Robertson County Board of Education, Shoney’s, Ramada Inn, Delight Products and Roger King Heat and Air. He was a graduate of Springfield High School class of 1974. James was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, Atlanta Braves fan and later in life loved watching cooking shows. His wife Liz stated that he never met a stranger and had a caregivers heart.

floral squareSurviving James are his wife of 42 years, Marlan Elizabeth (Liz) McKisic, son, Chris McKisic, daughter, Felicia N. McKisic, father, James O. McKisic Sr., sisters, Rhonda (Robert) Bell and Darlene Lonnie) Gardner, father-in-law, Jewel Wynn, sister and brother-law Bettye and David Murray, brothers and sister-in-law, Robert and Lillian Wynn and Ronald Wynn, honorary grandchild, Ansley Grimes and granddog, D’jango.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic all arrangements are private but the family will hold a public memorial service at a later date.

Nellie Lambert, 88, of Springfield, passed from this life on Monday March 23, 2020 at North Crest Medical Center.

A private family graveside service will be conducted in Springfield Memorial Gardens on Friday March 27th with Tim Harris officiating.

Mrs. Lambert was born March 3, 1932 in Toccopola, MS to the late Elbert Brooks and Lois Eva Wilson Winters. She was a retired seamstress from Wilson Sporting Goods and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers. She dedicated her life to her animals and to taking care of others, especially her family.

Mildred Drake Brindley, 85, of Springfield, passed away on Monday March 23, 2020 at NHC Healthcare in Springfield.

Mrs. Brindley was born September 29, 1934 in Springfield to the late Sanders and Robbie Wilson Drake. She was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Brindley loved music, dancing, and being a caregiver to anyone in her family that needed her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in floral squaredeath by her husband: Charles J. Brindley, and by her daughter: Wanda Brindley Petty.

Mrs. Brindley is survived by her sister: Brenda Haynes of Goodlettsville, by her grandchildren: Tammy and Olivia, and by 5 great grandchildren

Joyce Ann Traughber, 72, of Cedar Hill, passed away on Thursday March 19, 2020 at NHC Healthcare in Springfield.

The family will have a private visitation, Rosary, and Funeral Mass at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Father Anthony Lopez as celebrant.

The Funeral Mass will be followed by a Private Family Burial in the St. Michael’s Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and family. At this time, the family plans to have a public Memorial Service in celebration of Mrs. Traughber’s life at a later date.

Mrs. Traughber was born March 4, 1948 in Allensville, KY to the late Clifford and Maggie Hummel Morrow. She was a graduate of Jo Byrns High School. Mrs. Traughber worked in various factory positions throughout her work career and she was a communicant of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. She loved gardening, working in her flowers, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Traughber is survived by her husband of 56 years: Donald Wayne Traughber of Cedar Hill, by her son: Hollis Wayne (Penny) Traughber of Cedar Hill, by her daughter: Tracy Traughber of floral squareAshland City, by her brother: Willie Hugh Morrow of Cedar Hill, by her grandchildren: David (Jenna) Traughber, Brian (Kristian Knight) Traughber, Justin Traughber, Holly Traughber, and Johnathan Traughber, and by 13 great grandchildren.

Obituary for Jessie Warner Scott Cripps

Jessie Warner Scott Cripps, age 86, of Hendersonville, TN passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.

She was a loving wife, sister and aunt; a very sweet lady. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Madison for over 40 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Livy and Kathy Scott; siblings, Howard, Paul, and Dexter Scott, Kathleen Scott Vance, and Aileen Scott Fusion. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Lloyd Cripps; and several special nieces and nephews.

Due to health concerns, visitation will be restricted to allow only 10 family members in the building at a time. Private family visitation will be held on Friday, March 27 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Austin & Bell Hendersonville. A private family graveside service will take floral squareplace on Saturday, March 28 at 1 p.m. at Hendersonville Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Obituary for Norma Jean Holland

Norma Jean Harrell Holland passed away peacefully on March 23, 2020 with her husband of 68 years, Charles, and other family members by her side.

Mrs. Holland was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 14, 1932 to the late Marcus Jesse Harrell, Sr. & Bertha Beulah Lehr Harrell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. In addition to her other family members, she is survived by a sister, Pat Collins, Whiteland, Indiana.

Charles and Norma married on August 9, 1951 and raised their two sons: Eddie (Julie) Holland and Richard (Janie) Holland. She considered Greenbrier, TN home and one of her greatest joys was taking care of her two grandchildren: Brea (Jonathan) Freeman and Alison (Josh) Harris, and also spending time with , her eight great grandchildren: Anna, Isaac, Luke, Maggie, Laniece, Mary, Joshua and Baden.

She spent her final days at Red Cedar Glen Assisted Living Facility in Hendersonville, TN being cared for by the most amazing, loving nurses and staff members.

floral squareNorma was known for her funny quirks, pin curling her hair, and always having her “pocketbook” close by. After high school she worked at Eli Lilly in Indianapolis, IN where she was known as the “Lilly Girl”. She was very proud of her work there. She was the best at making homemade fried chicken, and she never turned down any opportunity to be with her family. She always had her clothesline full of clean clothes and took the best care of granddaughters, Brea and Alison.

She will be terribly missed by her family who loved her so very much.

Marietta Reynolds Hampton of Cedar Hill, Tennessee, age 85, died on March 22, 2020, at her home in Cedar Hill, Tennessee.

Mrs. Hampton was born in Sumner County, Tennessee, on April 5th, 1934, and was preceded in death by parents, John W. Reynolds, Sr. and Josephine Gober Reynolds; stepmother, Louise Head Reynolds; a brother, John (Johnnie) W. Reynolds, Jr. of Millersville, Tennessee. Also preceded in death by husbands, Joe C. Vick, Claude (Buck) Brinkley, John Hampton; a daughter, Dede Vick Bray; and grandsons, Derek Rollins and Noel Vick, all of Ashland City, Tennessee.

Mrs. Hampton is survived by a sister, Mildred Reynolds Carpenter of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, and children, Joe (Jean) Vick, Van (Candye) Vick, Max (Judy) Vick, Patty (Robert) Rollins, and Ben (Stacy) Brinkley. Mrs. Hampton’s family includes stepsons John (Pam) Hampton, Jr., Darrell (Kim) Hampton, and Eddie (Carol) Hampton; a stepdaughter, Jeanie (Gene) Brown, 22 living grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Hampton was of the church of Christ faith. She owned and operated Vick’s Hardware & Lumber Co. in Ashland City, Tennessee, for several decades and had previously lived on Lockertsville Road, Ashland City.

Obituary for John W. Calloway Sr.

Mr. John Woodard Calloway, Sr., age 72 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.

Mr. Calloway was born in Springfield, Tennessee on June 26, 1947. He is preceded in death by his first wife Susan Calloway; parents Robert Mason Calloway, Sr. and Virginia Woodard Calloway. Mr. Calloway was President of Sanford Company in Macon, enjoyed ham radio, however, his passion was flying and had his own private pilot’s license. He also served in the Army National Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry Calloway; sons John Woodard “Woody” Calloway, Jr. and his wife Christine, Andrew “Mason” Calloway and his wife Leigh; step-children Kim Stewart and her husband Mike, Keith Tyson and his wife Kim; nine grandchildren, floral squarethree great-grandchildren; Sister Ellen Bush; brothers Robert Mason Calloway, Jr. and his wife Carolyn, Joseph Graham Calloway and his wife Annette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home in Griffin, GA. Graveside services and interment was held Thursday, March 26, 2020, 1 pm (c.s.t.) at Elmwood Cemetery in Springfield, Tennessee.

Mackie Arms Morrow, age 78, of Cedar Hill, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020 at her home.

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 3pm in the Bellwood Cemetery with Brother Bruce Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

A private family visitation will be held prior to the graveside service.

Mrs. Morrow was born March 2, 1942 in Cedar Hill to the late Claudie L. and Annie Louise Stuard Arms. She was a Greeter at the YMCA until her retirement in 2017 and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Mrs. Morrow loved sunshine and the beach and being outdoors. She loved gardening and flowers and was even awarded the Cedar Hill Beautification Award.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Morrow is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Dale Arms and her brothers, Ricky Leon Arms and Jeffrey Lane Arms.

Dianna “Dawn” Tomlin, age 67, of Hendersonville, TN passed away on Friday, March 20, 2020.

Obituary for Eugene Crutcher, Jr.

Eugene “Smiley” Crutcher, Jr., age 89, of Greenbrier, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 at his home.

A Graveside Service was held Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 3pm in the Gideon Cemetery with Reverend Don Sensing officiating. Burial followed with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

A Memorial Service will also be held Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 1pm at the Gideon United Methodist Church.

Mr. Crutcher was born June 2, 1930 in Robertson County to the late Eugene S. and Thelma Corbin Crutcher, Sr. He worked for 69 years as a Sheet Metal Worker for the Local 177 and was a member of the Gideon United Methodist Church in Greenbrier. He loved camping, gardening, farming, cutting wood, riding his motorcycle, or just being outside. Mr. Crutcher was also affectionately known as “Hot Rod”.

In addition to his parents Mr. Crutcher is preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Hinkle. He is survived by his wife, Mary Hedgepath Crutcher; son, Kenneth (Susan) Crutcher of Clinton, TN; daughters, floral squareJoy Darlene Huffines of Greenbrier and Wanda (Randy) Hollis of Nashville; grandchildren, Brittany Crutcher, Tiffany Hollis, Emily Crutcher, Roger Hollis, Justin Huffines, Katlin Hollis, Josh Bunn and Elizabeth Huffines; and great-grandchildren, Maeline Hollis-Beard and Brantley Huffines.

Obituary for John Jeffrey Hanks

Age 75 of Cottontown passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Skyline Medical Center. He was born June 6, 2944 in Warren, PA. He was employed as a factory worker with Kellogg’s before his retirement and was a member of White House First Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He loved motorcycles and enjoyed watching westerns and war movies. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Virginia Van Camp Malo; daughter, Joy Lynn Hanks Tyson.

He is survived bu his wife of 54 years, Valerie Hanks, Cottontown, TN; sons, Jeffrey (Pam) Hanks, Jackson, MI and Jason (Valery) floral squareHanks, Cottontown, TN; sister, Lori Andrews, AZ; 8 grandchildren, Chaz, Hailey, Jacob, Hannah, Alyssa, William, Jonathan and Lucy; 1 great-grandchild, Aubrey.

A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 11am at White House First Baptist Church with Rev. Ashley Mofield officiating and with military honors. Burial in the Hillcrest Cemetery columbarium will be scheduled at a later date.

Paul Edwin Clark, age 84 of Greenbrier, died on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at his home. He was born on April 21, 1935 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Presley Carothers and Mamie Clopton Clark.He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the 101st Airborne Division. He was of Baptist faith and was an avid sports fan of all sports.

Paul is survived by his sons, Billy L. (Donna) Clark of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, Michael D. “Mike” Clark of Shelbyville, Tennessee; daughter, Vicki L. Clark of Greenbrier; mother of his children, Carolyn “Judy” Clark of Greenbrier; grandchildren, Brittney Clark, Brooke Clark, Brett Clark, Madison Clark, Kailey Clark, and Bryce floral squareClark; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Alcee, Jameson, Camden, Serenity, Havana Ray, and Piper. Serving as pallbearers will be Brett Clark, Bryce Clark, Randy Brown, Caleb Amos, Elliott Dorris, Nicky Dorris; honorary pallbearer will be Jayden Manier.

Due to the Corona Virus the family will be having a private graveside service with a public memorial service to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ebenezer Baptist Church Building Fund.

She was retired from Lifeway Christian Resources after 47 years there, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Sid Dorris Durham; her parents Leonard Mai and Martha Ann Jones Brownlow; sisters, Elizabeth Hudson and Tennie Mae Doty.

Arthur William Kerr, Jr., age 80, of Greenbrier, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Springfield Heights.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 2:45 in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Brother Joe Rushing officiating.

A Funeral Procession will be leaving on Saturday, March 28th at 2:00pm from Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield.

Mr. Kerr was born May 10, 1939 in Nashville to the late Arthur W. and Myrtle Stinson Kerr. He worked as an Inspector for the State of TN and was a member of the Neeley’s Bend Baptist Church. Mr. Kerr was also a Master Mason at Lodge 753 in Greenbrier.

In addition to his parents Mr. Kerr is preceded in death by his wife, Carole Goad Kerr and his half-sister.

Arrangements for Michael Andre Chatman

Michael Chatman, age 37. On Sunday, March 15, 2020, the whistle was blown, and #44, Michael Andre Chatman answered the call. He knew time had ran out, he didn’t tackle God’s call, he knew God had plans for him on another field. Michael Andre Chatman was born on January 14, 1983 in Springfield, Tennessee to Mary Elizabeth Carney and Bobby Ray Chatman.

He attended Beards Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and continued for most of his childhood. As he got older, he found Christ and was baptized at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. While attending Mt. Olive, he became a member of the choir.

Michael attended Springfield High School where he graduated in 2002. He was awarded a full scholarship to Tennessee State University where he played Football. After one year, he transferred to Austin Peay University where he majored in Sports Medicine.

floral squareHe also loved his job at AO Smith in Ashland City, Tennessee. Michael loved playing sports including football, baseball, field and track, basketball and weight lifting.

As he was pursuing his dream, he was creating his own little dream team. A team to cherish his memory are his children, Tristan Chatman of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Zion Chatman of Lewisburg, Tennessee; Jonah, Jaylon, and Jordon Chatman of Bowling Green, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by brother, Vincent Chatman.

Mrs. Farrell Adams Dixon age 78 of Smithville and formerly of Orlinda, TN passed away Thursday at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. She was born March 1, 1942 to her parents, the late James Emmett & Evelyn Beatrice Crowder Cook. Mrs. Dixon was a seamstress, a member of Smithville First U.M.C., and a longtime member of Cross Plains U.M.C. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by Son-in-law: David Wiley; Brother: James Cook.

Funeral services were held 2:PM Saturday at the Cross Plains U.M.C. in Cross Plains, Tn., with Revs. David Lunsford, Diana DeWitt & Steve Boutell officiating and burial to follow in the Cross Plains U.M.C. Cemetery. Visitation with the family was held Friday 4:PM until 8:PM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel and Saturday 10:AM until time of the service at 2:PM at Cross Plains U.M.C., in Cross Plains, TN.

Thomas Andrew Bagby, age 77, of Adams, died Monday, March 16, 2020 at his home.

A Graveside service was held Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 2pm in the Bellwood Cemetery with Brother Marvin Crouch officiating. Burial followed with Joshua Bagby, William Bagby, Mark Bourne, Edward Tilley, Denny Lowe and Kenneth Holman serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Bagby was born October 21, 1942 in Cumberland Furnace, TN to the late Woodrow Bagby and Mrs. Doris Coleman Bagby of Adams. He was a farmer and member of the Adams Church of Christ. He was a Vanderbilt sports fan and enjoyed watching them play.

Obituary For Tammy Hyde Fowler

Tammy Nicole Hyde-Fowler was born May 24, 1973 to Nancy Pauline Hyde and the late Thomas Hyde of Springfield, Tennessee. Tammy entered Eternal Rest on Saturday March 14, 2020 at Mercy Health Medical Center surrounded by family and friends.

Tammy accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age uniting with the Greater South Baptist Church. She would later unite with Beards Chapel then later with Fairview Baptist Church.

Tammy was educated in the Robertson County School System. Tammy loved spending time with family and friends but most of all being a Nana to her grandchildren.

Tammy was employed at Electrolux for two years until her health failed her in 2017.

Tammy was preceded in death by her grandmother, Stella Bell, granddaughter, Marquasia Hyde, and uncle Keith Wilson.
In addition to her mother, Nancy Pauline Hyde, Tammy leaves to cherish her memory husband, Reginald Fowler of Paducah KY; sons, Marcus (Alexandria) Hyde of Paducah KY, Dontavious (Samira) Taylor, Quinton (Samantha) Taylor; daughters, Sierra Hyde (Quintella), all of Springfield TN, Roniesha (Jeff) Hyde of Adams, TN; brother, Ronnie Hyde (Katina) of Springfield, TN; god- brother, Andre Clemons and god-sister, Tammy Clemons of Springfield, TN; stepmother, Argie Williams of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Kemarious Taylor, Kobie Taylor, Kayden Taylor, Beau Taylor of Springfield, TN, Marquavious Hyde of Clarksville, TN, Laylah Martin, Dezrick Hyde, Jaci Butrum of Adams, TN, and Raelyn Snellen of Louisville, Ky, five uncles, five aunts and a host of nieces nephews, cousins and friends.

Roy Cage “R.C.” Shepard, age 82, of Stroudsville, Tennessee, died Sunday, March 15, 2020 at his home.

Graveside services were conducted at Shepard Cemetery in Stroudsville at 10:00AM on Wednesday, March 18th, with Bro. John Maltais officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Alan Shepard, Stan Shepard, Rocky Shepard, Cage Shepard, Josh Shepard, and Jason Shepard. Honorary pallbearers were Todd Bolton, Ed Anderson, and David Bagby. There was no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Mr. Shepard was born on July 7, 1937, in Stroudsville, Tennessee, to the late Roy and Verdie Holt Shepard. He was a drywall contractor and farmer. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Korea.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Amelya Shepard; brothers, Ray “Buster” Shepard, and Randy Shepard; and a sister, Mary B. Leavell.
