Age 63 of White House passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Hendersonville Medical Center. He was born August 27, 1958 in Carthage, TN to Harry & Eurine “Rebecca” Anderson Gregory. He worked as a fabricator for Tate Ornamental. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan. He also enjoyed Larry Bird and the Celtics and Pat Summit and her Lady Vols. He was also talented in carpentry and was a member of Long Hollow Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Jamie Mitchell. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Nancy Gregory, White House, TN; sons, Joey Ryan (Jera) Gregory, White House, TN and Christopher (Nicole) Gregory, Chattanooga, TN; brothers, Jerry Gregory and Randall (Connie) Gregory, both of Hendersonville, TN; sister, Karen Mitchell, Thompson Station, TN; 6 grandchildren, Zach, Aubrey, Jonah, Lily, Avah “Bob” and Ethan “Bob”

Age 51 of Portland went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 20, 2022 in Nashville, TN. He was born March 8, 1971 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to David Alexander & Rita Kay Wernecke Sherman. He worked as an office manager for the State of Tennessee and was a member of Revolution Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Sonya Sherman, Portland, TN; son, Sean (Lauren) Keyes, White House, TN; daughters, Meagan (Brandon) Orand, Navarre, FL, Courtney Sherman, Benld, IL; Zoe Sherman, Ashland City, TN and Grace Sherman, Portland, TN; parents, David and Rita Sherman, Portland, TN; sisters, Shawn Sherman Portland, TN and Patricia (Albert) Adams, Lansing, MI; aunt, Rhonda Wernecke, Portland, TN; uncles. Obituary for Alan Davis Carroll
Alan Davis Carroll, age 68 of Springfield passed away on May 22, 2022, at NorthCrest Medical Center.
He was born on February 6, 1954, to David and Jo Ann Carroll in Paducah, Kentucky. Alan was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 10, 1970. He was a faithful member of the Springfield Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1972 and began working for Peterbilt Motors for over thirty years. He enjoyed sharing his hope for the future with everyone he met. Alan was known for his adventurous spirit, keen sense of humor and agreeable nature.
Alan is preceded in death by his father, David M. Carroll.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Carroll; daughter, Cara (Marcello) Santarsiera; mother, Jo Ann Carroll; siblings, Jimmy (Cindy) Carroll, Danny (Bridgette) Carroll, Julie (John) Fuqua and Kilp (Rebekah) Carroll; nephew, Jonathan Carroll and nieces Amelia Fuqua and Claire Carroll.

Obituary for Stephanie Anne Blakemore
On May 19, 2022, the Lord called another of his Angels Home, Stephanie Anne Blakemore. Stephanie was born July 6, 1972 to Dorothy Blakemore and the late Calvin Hudson in Robertson County, Tennessee.
She was a graduate of East Robertson High School, Class of 1990.
She professed a hope in Christ at Friendship Baptist Church in Cross Plaines, Tennessee. She was employed with Rescare Assisted Living Facility for twenty- eight years. She was a support staff employee as well as a driver for the van transporting the residents wherever they needed to go. She loved and enjoyed her job assisting others as needed. She was also employed with HATS.
She loved all kinds of music and had a large variety of music that she had collected throughout the years.
Stephanie leaves to cherish her precious memories: her loving mother, Dorothy M. Blakemore; brother, Troy Alan Blakemore; one uncle, Reverend Ricky (Anita) Blakemore; two aunts, Diane Wells and Annie (Frank) Jernigan; a host of cousins; special friends, Cynthia Hardesty, Katina Barbee, Stacy Payne, and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation with family, graveside services, and burial were Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Restlawn Memorial Garden with Reverend Ricky Blakemore, eulogy.

Aimee Michelle Kolaski, 33, passed away on Thursday May 19th, 2022, at her home in Clarksville, Tennessee. Aimee was born August 22, 1988, in Nashville, TN. She was a former resident of Ashland City, TN, and a graduate of Cheatham County High School. Aimee loved animals, music, horror movies and was an avid reader. She loved books. She enjoyed sitting outside on stormy nights. Aimee leaves behind her four children, Scarlett, Joline, Dahlia, and Logan as well as her loving companion and friend Jordan Bailey. Her parents Keith (Diane) Kolaski and Cathy (Hill) Lewis. Sisters, Cynthia (Joy) Perkins, Briana (Cody) Stewart. Brothers, Nicholas (Amber) Kolaski, Jake (Sabrina) Kolaski, Mason (Leah) Kolaski, David (Stacy) Gill and Michael (Brittni) Gill as well as, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Faye Robertson Winters, 85, of Springfield, passed from this life on Friday May 20, 2022, at the home of her granddaughter.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted Saturday June 11th at 1:00 p.m. at the Palestine United Methodist Church with Reverend Diane Coppock officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday June 11th from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
Faye was born September 12, 1936, in Springfield to the late George Elvis and Verdie Mae Raymer Robertson. She was a graduate of Springfield High School Class of 1955, was a retired cafeteria worker for the St. John’s County School Board in Florida, was a member of Palestine United Methodist Church, was a member of the Palestine Quilter’s, and was a member of the Larry’s Breakfast Club. Faye enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading, and working word search puzzles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Billie Winters, by her sons: Mitchell, Michael, and Donald Winters, by her daughter: Teresa Dawn Winters, by her siblings: George Elvis “Lucky” Robertson, Jr., Joe Robertson, Roberta Robertson Taylor, and Loretta Robertson Wix, and by her grandson: Daniel Scott Allen.
Faye is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Carole and Emory Renfroe of East Palatka, FL, by her son and daughter-in-law: Kevin and Wendy Winters of Hastings, FL, by her grandchildren: Jessi (Joey) Dorris, Cody (Monica) Winters, and Candice (David) Bent, and by her great grandchildren: Kyla Rae Dorris, Jayden Bent, Olivia Allen, Grayson Bent, and Alec Granata.

Earl Scott Britton, 96, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday May 19, 2022, at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday May 25th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Rebekah Rochte Votral officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Wayne Britton, Fred E. Britton, Daniel Baker, David Baker, Phil Sneed, and Jamie Herndon serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Britton was born April 9, 1926, in Cedar Hill to the late George Thomas and Thadie Elizabeth Cox Britton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War era. Mr. Britton was a retired mail carrier with the Cedar Hill Post Office, a lifelong member of Porter’s Chapel United Methodist Church, and a member of the American Legion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Evelyn Herndon Stamps Britton, by his brothers: Gilbert Thomas Britton, Bailey Marshall Britton, John William Britton, and Robert Harold Britton, by his sisters: Nellie Britton Herndon Anderson, Virginia Britton Edgin, and Elizabeth Britton Baker, and by his buddy: Keith Schultz.
Mr. Britton is survived by his brother: Joe S. Britton of Concord, NC, by his nephews: Thomas Wayne Britton and wife Mary Ann of Charleston, NC, and Fred E. Britton and wife Mary E. of Hendersonville, by his nieces: Paula S. Wright of Portland and Pamela B. Schultz of Springfield, by his stepchildren: Clarence Stamps, Jr. and wife Paula of Rock Island, TN, and Patricia J. Shelia Faye Thompson Smith, 65, of Springfield, departed this life on Tuesday May 17, 2022, at TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday May 21st at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Bobby Williams officiating. Interment followed in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Todd Pendleton, Mac Leach, Joe Volk, Paul Shoulders, Justin Thompson, Jacob Thompson, Michael Stark, and Justin Tucker serving as pallbearers. The family received friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.
Shelia was born February 18, 1957, in Springfield to the late Jesse and Edna Dean Thompson. She was a graduate of Springfield High School Class of 1976, a retired HR Specialist with the former Golden Living in Springfield, and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Shelia loved swimming, flower gardening, traveling, watching movies, and spending time with her family.
Shelia is survived by her husband of 46 years; Terry Smith of Springfield, by her daughter; Jennifer Smith of Goodlettsville, by her brothers and sisters-in-law: Jerry and Cyndie Thompson of Gallatin, John and Melinda Thompson of White House, by her sisters and brother-in-law; Deborah Leach of Springfield, Peggy and Paul Shoulders of Springfield, and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Alexander “Alex” Winter Moulton, Jr, age 61 of Greenbrier, TN passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at his residence.
His wishes were to be cremated and buried at sea.
He was born in Maine on October 19, 1960 to the late Alexander Winter Moulton, Sr and Dorothy Rideout Moulton.
He worked in Maintenance for the US Postal Service and was a veteran of the US Navy. He enjoyed woodworking, flipping houses, tilework and was a very creative individual.
He is survived by spouse, Kervon C. Brust of Greenbrier; mother, Dorothy Rideout Moulton of ME; brothers, Tim and Tom Moulton of ME and sister, Sherry Lynn Bodeau of ME.

William “Pookie” “Big John” Darold Davis, age 82 of Pleasant View, Tennessee, died Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield.
Funeral services were conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 2:00PM on Friday, May 20th, with Bro. Randy Hester and Bro. Randy Scott officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant View United Methodist Cemetery with Terry Davis, Tray Davis, Sam Davis, Ethan Davis, Randy Davis, and Greg Davis serving as pallbearers.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00PM until the hour of service at 2:00PM.
Mr. Davis was born on October 6, 1939 in the Stroudsville Community, Tennessee to the late Ben and Eunice Shepard Davis. He was retired from State Industries as a foreman after 38 years of service. He enjoyed coon hunting, farming, fishing, playing poker and Rook, coaching jr. pro football and baseball, and loved to eat Beverly’s cooking. He was a jack of all trades and fixed things that were unfixable, especially what Tom tore up. Mr. Davis was a family man who dearly loved his grandchildren and was a member of Heads Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Harold Davis.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Beverly Head Davis; sons, Terry (Nancy) Davis and Tray (Debbie) Davis; sister, Peggy Elliott; grandchildren, Megan Davis, Kaitlin Smith, Maddie Davis, Sam Davis, Ethan Davis, and Morgan Davis; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Derrick Lamar Teasley was born January 21, 1976 in Montgomery County to Leo Suggs and Anolia Teasley. He went home to be with the Lord on May 10, 2022.
Derrick professed a hope in Christ at an early age at New Hope Free Will Baptist Church in Ashland City, Tennessee. Derrick graduated from Springfield High School, Class of 1994 where he enjoyed playing sports.
Derrick had a smile that would light up the room. He was a devoted father and believed strongly in family over everything.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lovie and Jimmie Suggs, Pete and Beulah Teasley; uncles, Charles and Sam Northington, George, Herman and Robert Teasley; aunt, Patricia Lisenbee; first cousin and best friends, Lioniel Scott, Danny Lunsford and Timothy Holland.

Mrs. Curtis was born December 19, 1949, in Springfield, to the late Francis and Evelyn Heatherly Traughber. She was a retired school bus driver with the Robertson County Board of Education and was of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Curtis enjoyed working in her flower garden, going to thrift shops, painting, and spending time with her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Walter Miles Curtis, by her siblings; Shirley Elmore, Ray Traughber, David Traughber, and Tim Traughber, and by her brother-in-law: Wayne Curtis.

Obituary for L C Hyde
On May 15, 2022 the Lord called thy good and faithful servant, L C Hyde to his Heavenly Home. He was born August 5, 1942 to the late David and Birdie Mae Hyde. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Birdie Mae and Bird Ella Hyde; brothers, A C, Robert, David “Buckwheat,” Thomas “Pipe,” James L. , Charles Hyde; and brother-in-law, Rudy Joyner.
L C professed a hope in Christ at St. John A.M.E. Church. He loved his church and was faithful and dedicated in doing what was necessary to help the church. He was on the Steward Board, a member of the Male Chorus, and Chairman of the Family Day Services.
He was educated in the Robertson County Public School System and graduated from Bransford High School, Class of 1962.
L C was joined in matrimony to Emma Jean Wilson, and to this union a son, Troy was born. He was employed with the Brick Yard in Nashville, Tennessee for several years until it closed. He retired from Electrolux after forty-plus years of employment.
L C leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Emma Jean Wilson Hyde; son, Troy (Lataisha) Hyde of Springfield, TN; two sisters, Blanch Joyner and Lola Bell Davis both of Nashville, TN; two grandchildren, Ashley Hyde of Springfield, TN; and Tramale Hyde of Hendersonville, TN; two great-grandchildren, Tramonte and Armani both of Springfield, TN.; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Robert) Summers, Etta Hyde, Pauline Hyde; A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Heatherly was born November 23, 1943 in Cross Plains to the late Thomas and Gladys Moses Heatherly. He was retired from the City of Springfield where he was an equipment operator and he was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed being outdoors doing things such as hunting, fishing, and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Heatherly.
He is survived by his wife Linda Holt Heatherly of Cedar Hill; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Tracy Ayers of Springfield; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Polly Heatherly of Springfield; grandchildren; Jenna Traughber, Taylor Presler, Debra Raye Heatherly, Ashley Duncan, and Kaleb Heatherly, 15 great grandchildren and number 16 to arrive in September.

Age 75 of Goodlettsville passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Skyline Medical Center. He was born October 5, 1946 in Nashville, TN to Walter Astor & Melba Little Ray. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and was retired from CSX Railroad. Ted loved working on cars, woodworking and tackling remodeling jobs. He was known as a jack of all trades.

James Donald “Maverick” Cardwell, 77, of Greenbrier died Monday, May16, 2022. James was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Gayla Cardwell and by his parents.
He served in the U.S. Navy. He was retired from the Roofers Local 176 where he served as the Vice President.
He is survived by his son, Nicky (Brittany) Cardwell, daughters Candy DeMoss, Cristy Cardwell and Tracey (Randy) Carson, and granddaughter, Tristin, whom he has had custody of from an infant, brother, Billy Cardwell and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at the Elks Lodge in Madison TN on Sunday May 22 from 3-6.

Obituary for Ruby Elizabeth Watts Shepard
Ruby Elizabeth Watts Shepard, age 101, left this life for eternal salvation on May 14, 2022. Mammie, as she was known by all that knew and loved her, was greeted at heavens gate by the love of her life, husband S.F. Shepard and children, Faye Johnson, Shirley Hester, Frank Shepard, and Donald Ray Shepard; parents, Joe and Hazel Watts; siblings, A.J. Watts, Cecil Watts, Gilbert Watts, Darlene Nicholson, Renee Holt, and Dorothy Brake.
Mammie leaves behind loving children, Dimple (Mike) Warren, Bill (Christine) Shepard, Tippy (Linda) Shepard and adoring grandchildren, Robin (Todd) Allman, Kendra (Bayard) Sheldon, Kimber (Gregg) Dills, Delvin (Susan) Hester and Steve (Cathy) Shepard along with 7 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-great-grandson. She is also survived by her sister, Margie Wall, along with numerous extended family and friends.
Mammie loved her family fiercely, raising and loving 6 generations of children. She loved to cook and believed the kitchen, where all would often gather, to be the heart of her home. There was very little in the world that Mammie’s Chicken n’ Dumplings, Fried Pies or Chocolate Buttermilk Cake couldn’t fix. She kissed thousands of boo-boos and gave many more of the best hugs but was quick to switch your legs if you got out of line, usually laughing as she chased you only to find a popsicle for punishment in the end as Mammie’s heart knew no bounds. Mammie will always be known for her stories, of which there were many, her love of quilting, painting, and sewing.
A lifelong member of Red River Baptist Church, Mammie loved Jesus and spread that love to all that would listen and even those that would not.

Age 90 of Springfield passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at NHC in Springfield. He was born March 7, 1932 in Springfield, TN to Dallas & Mattie Shannon Stark. He retired as a mechanic from RC Bottling Company. He enjoyed working on and restoring old tractors. He enjoyed fixing anything with a motor. He loved attending tractor pulls and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Thomas Maynard; 3 brothers, Clyde Stark, Jesse Stark and Russell Stark; son-in-law, Billy Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Betty Stark, Springfield, TN; sons, Joe (Robin) Stark, Springfield, TN and Shannon (Jodie) Stark, Portland, TN; daughter, Rita Roberts, Springfield, TN; 5 grandchildren, Nikki (Dwight) Hinkle, Misty (Marshall) Romero, Whitney (Chris) Stark, Jimmie Joe Maynard and Luke Maynard; 10 great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Rylee, Savannah, Peyton, Colin, Kaylee, Karson, Ziya, Shayna and Chevey; great great grandson, Jack.

Age 88 of White House passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Hendersonville Medical Center. He was born August 21, 1933 in Hurricane, Utah to William E. & Elsie Stout Wood. He worked in electronics manufacturing for Square D. He was retired from the U.S. Army, where he served in special forces as a green beret. He proudly served his country in Korea and in Vietnam. His highly decorated uniform is proudly displayed at the White House History Museum.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Lynette Wood and Rhonda Edwell; 5 brothers; 2 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Wood, White House, TN; daughters, Jeri Kimm (Fred) Houston, FL, Sue Willey, WA, Aileen Rae, Nashville, TN and Kathleen Dean, Whie House, TN; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.

He was retired from AMF as a machinist and had worked at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts after retirement. He was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors, especially on his farm. He loved listening to Elvis music. He was a wonderful father and husband and Pa to the grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Brenda Jones; sons, William (Julie) Jones, Jr. and Christopher Jones; 3 grandchildren, Shawn Jones, Lavaeh Jones and Parker Jones, all of White House, TN.

Obituary for Samuel Wyatt Moss
Samuel Wyatt Moss, age 25, of Greenbrier, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
The family held a memorial visitation and service at Travis Price Park on Saturday, May 21, 2022.
Wyatt was born May 13, 1996 in Springfield, TN to Samuel Matt and Sandra Renee Leftrick Moss. He enjoyed disc golf, listening to music, playing with dogs, roller blading, skateboarding, gaming with his nephew Trent, and he loved trying to figure out how things worked.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Norma Gammon.
Wyatt is survived by his mother, Sandra Renee Buckner; father, Samuel Matt Moss; brother, Gregory Buckner; sisters, Tasha Buckner and partner Phillip Dawson, and Teala Buckner and partner Sam Barnes; grandparents, Judy and Jim Dowlen; half-brothers, Jeremy Wayne Moss and Joshua David Moss; and his nephew, Trent Massey.
